Day 1Depart from Bristol, Avonmouth
Depart: 1800hrs Board Marco Polo in Bristol, today, settle in to your cabin and relax as your cruise begins.

Settle into the shipboard routine of rest and relaxation as Marco Polo spends today at sea.
Day 3Rouen, France
Arrive: 0745hrs Depart: 2030hrs This morning you'll awake in the heart of Normandy, as Marco Polo arrives in the ancient city of Rouen. You'll spend a full day here, giving you plenty of time to explore. Stroll the pretty, cobbled streets of Rouen, today, past the site of Joan of Arc’s martyrdom in the Place du Vieux-Marche and beneath the Renaissance arch that houses the ornate Gros Horloge (one of the oldest clocks in France) to the Place de la Cathedrale.
Day 4Honfleur, France
Arrive: 0300hrs Depart: 2300hrs After a night spent cruising gently back up to the mouth of the Seine, Marco Polo reaches Honfleur, early this morning. Explore this favourite retreat of the French Impressionists, with its Vieux Bassin harbour surrounded by gabled houses, or perhaps join a shore excursion to Deauville or Monet's Gardens at Giverny.
Day 5Portsmouth, England
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1700hrs Portsmouth has a long, proud maritime history. Visit the refurbished D-Day Museum to see the 82-metre long embroidery of images and events from Operation Overlord, or perhaps head to HMS Victory, HMS Warrior or the Mary Rose Museum.

Day 7Newhaven, Scotland
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 2000hrs As Marco Polo calls in Newhaven, you'll have the chance to head ashore to visit the Scottish capital, Edinburgh.
Day 8Invergordon, Scotland
Arrive: 1200hrs Depart: 2200hrs This morning we'll tie up in the great natural harbour at Invergordon on Scotland's rugged East Coast. Step ashore to explore, or join an optional shore excursion, perhaps to Loch Ness in search of Nessie. Golfers may head to the fine course at nearby Dornoch, while whisky connoisseurs can make a pilgrimage to the celebrated Glen Ord Distillery.
Day 9Kirkwall, Orkney Isles
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1800hrs Today Marco Polo arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.
Day 10Lerwick, Shetland Isles
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1700hrs Marco Polo's next northern island call is the Shetland Isles capital, Lerwick. Spend time exploring this rugged but enchanting town, or join an excursion to the 3,000 year-old archaeological site at Jarlshof, with its Bronze and Iron Age remains.
Day 11Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
Arrive: 0830hrs Depart: 2000hrs Marco Polo anchors off Stornoway, the capital of Lewis. Explore the town, or take the excursion to the mysterious and ancient Standing Stones at Callanish, thought to be nearly 4000 years old.
Day 12Tobermory, Isle of Mull
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1900hrs Tobermory’s waterfront parade of multi-coloured houses welcomes Marco Polo to the lovely island of Mull. Explore this delightful little town, visit nearby Duart Castle or simply let the spectacular coastal scenery take your breath away.
Day 13Belfast, Northern Ireland
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1900hrs Early this morning, Marco Polo arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter developments that pay homage to the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast stone staircase of the Giant’s Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.

Day 15Cobh, Ireland
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 2200hrs Early this morning, Marco Polo arrives in Cork's long, narrow harbour of Cobh. Shore excursions here offer you the chance to discover this historic capital of southwest Ireland, to head into the beautiful rolling countryside to fashionable Kinsale or to visit famous Blarney Castle, just north of the city, for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone.
Day 16Bantry, Ireland
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 2200hrs Skirting the coast of south west Ireland, Marco Polo heads to exquisite Bantry Bay. Go ashore at Glengariff, a green oasis where sub-tropical plants flourish set against the backdrop of the rugged Caha Mountains. Take an excursion into County Kerry and Killarney National Park, which sits beneath the wonderfully named Macgillycuddy’s Reeks, Ireland’s highest mountain range.

Day 18Arrive at Portsmouth
Arrive: 0800hrs Say goodbye to Marco Polo, her crew and your fellow passengers as she arrives in Portsmouth, today, and you disembark at the end of a wonderful cruise. An optional coach transfer back to Bristol will be available to book in advance. Back to top
