Day 1Board Columbus in Tilbury today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.
Day 2Columbus reaches her first port of call today: the Dutch maritime city of Rotterdam. Step ashore to see the stunning architecture of the Erasmus Bridge and the remarkable Markthal food market. Browse the World-class museums, explore the lovingly preserved Old Harbour and stroll past nearby Delfshaven's step-gabled houses and ancient wharves.
Day 3Spend today relaxing, and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.
Day 4Stylish Copenhagen, home to the famous Tivoli Gardens and forever associated with Hans Christian Andersen, is a marvellous city. Join the optional shore excursion to discover the world famous Little Mermaid, the Royal Palace and the grand stores that line the famous shopping street, Stroget.
Day 5This morning Columbus arrives in Rostock. Seat of northern Europe’s oldest university, Rostock retains much of its medieval charm in the gabled houses and preserved warehouses surrounding Neuer Markt, the city’s main square. However, for many the main attraction of this stop will be the optional excursion to Berlin. See the arch of the Brandenburg Gate, the Unter den Linden, the former East German sector and the shops on the ’Ku’damm’, and visit the reminders of 20th-century conflict - from Hitler’s Bunker to Checkpoint Charlie.
Day 6Relax on board as Columbus spends another day at sea.
Day 7Today we'll arrive in beautiful Tallinn. Step back in time as you explore the enchanting Estonian capital and its perfectly preserved old town, winding cobblestone streets full of storybook houses, steepled churches and ancient buildings, all watched over by Toompea Castle.
Days 8 and 9Columbus will spend two days at the docks of St Petersburg, one of the world's most startling and glorious cities, with its world-renowned Hermitage Museum, its wide canal-side boulevards and its modern cosmopolitan atmosphere.
We'll have lots of time in the city, so don't miss our optional excursion to the Tsars' Summer Palace at Petrodvorets, the chance to explore the city's Haymarket, or the opportunity to see the opulence of the Mariinsky Theatre, home to the world-renowned Kirov Ballet.
Day 10Step ashore to explore Helsinki, Finland's elegant capital. Explore the harbour-side fish market, take a stroll in nearby Esplanade Park, and don't miss the monumental neo-Classical buildings of stunning Senate Square, which have played the part of Moscow in many Cold War movies.
Day 11Today, Columbus will thread its way between the countless islands of Sweden's eastern coast to Stockholm. Best explored on foot, the Swedish capital spans 14 islets and boasts a wonderful mix of historic sights and fine city parks. Its ancient heart is Gamla Stan, a beguiling labyrinth of cobbled streets, shops, cafes and restaurants.
Day 12Spend another day at sea, hopefully enjoying sunny skies, as Columbus heads back to the UK.
Day 13Settled for over 1000 years, Denmark's lively second city, Aarhus, is a delightful university seat boasting a cobbled old town of colourful shops, bars and cafes, all watched over by the imposing Gothic Domkirke cathedral. Don't miss the fascinating Viking Museum.
Day 14Make the most of your final day on board as Columbus cruises to London and home.
Day 15Bid farewell to Columbus and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise. Back to top
