Day TwoWelcome to Amsterdam - a delightful city of canals, flower markets and renowned museums. Spend the day wandering the cobbled streets along the waterways, and perhaps take to the water on a canal cruise or even a self-pedalled canal 'bike'.
Day ThreeGet to know Columbus and your fellow voyagers on a day spent cruising north and east.
Day FourStylish Copenhagen, home to the famous Tivoli Gardens, and forever associated with Hans Christian Andersen, is today's port of call. Despite its reputation as a young and lively metropolis, it's actually one of Europe's oldest cities, with a rich history reflected in its splendid buildings and ancient streets.
Day FiveThis morning Columbus arrives in Warnemunde, gateway to the city of Rostock. Discover the port's charming gabled houses and historic Neuer Markt, or join the optional excursion to Berlin. Take in the city's fascinating history - from the Brandenburg Gate and the great 1926 Olympic Stadium to Hitler's Bunker and Checkpoint Charlie - before returning to Columbus, ready to sail, this evening.
Day SixSpend another day at sea, relaxing and enjoying Columbus' on-board amenities.
Day SevenToday we'll arrive in beautiful Tallinn. Step back in time as you explore the enchanting Estonian capital with its perfectly preserved old town, winding cobblestone streets full of storybook houses, steepled churches and ancient buildings, all watched over by Toompea Castle.
Days Eight and NineColumbus will spend two days in St Petersburg, one of the world's most glorious cities. Explore its incomparable Hermitage Museum, stroll down its wide canal-side boulevards, and soak up the modern 'European' atmosphere. You'll have the chance to explore the city's Haymarket, familiar from scenes in Dostoyevsky's novels, to gaze in awe at the opulence of the Mariinsky Theatre, home to the world-renowned Kirov Ballet, and to visit the famous Summer Palace at Petrodvorets.
Day 10Step ashore this morning to explore the wonderful port city of Helsinki, Finland's elegant capital. Explore the harbour-side fish market, take a stroll in nearby Esplanade Park, and don't miss the monumental neo-Classical buildings of stunning Senate Square, which have played the part of Moscow in many Cold War movies.
Day 11Today, Columbus will call in her third Scandinavian capital, Stockholm. Best explored on foot, the Swedish capital spans 14 islets and boasts a wonderful mix of historic sights and fine city parks. Its ancient heart is Gamla Stan, a beguiling labyrinth of cobbled streets, shops, cafes and restaurants.
Day 12Relax aboard Columbus as she sails back along the Swedish coastline and through the Danish Archipelago.
Day 13Columbus' final call will be at the historic Danish port-city of Aalborg, set on the mighty Limfjord on North Jutland, with its Viking heritage and its laid-back, outdoor lifestyle. Visit the ancient Viking cemetery at Lindholm Hoje or the town's Aquavit museum and distillery on today's optional shore excursions.
Day 14Make the most of Columbus' excellent facilities on your final full day on board.
