Midsummer in Scandinavia

Spend six relaxing days aboard glittering Magellan as you discover western Norway at its glorious best. Cruise deep into Norway’s pristine interior, along exquisite Hardangerfjord, with stops at pretty Eidfjord and prosperous Stavanger. Join Magellan as she sails from Dundee, before crossing the North Sea. Cruise along Hardangerfjord to Eidfjord, which is nestled in a breath-taking location, where dense forests cling to towering mountain slopes high above crystal-clear waters. Continue south to medieval Stavanger, with its charming cobbled-stone old town, before crossing the North Sea, and returning to Dundee.

Day 1

Depart Dundee, UK
Depart: 0130hrs Board Magellan in Dundee, today, settle in to your cabin and relax over dinner as your cruise begins.

Spend today relaxing on board.

Day 3

Eidfjord, Norway
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 2000hrs Rise early for the chance to soak up the spectacular scenery as Magellan cruises through the 100km-long Hardangerfjord to Eidfjord. Here you can go ashore to enjoy an optional excursion through the beautiful surrounding countryside, perhaps taking in the famous Vøringfossen waterfalls.

Day 4

Stavanger, Norway
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 2000hrs The prosperous former fishing capital of Stavanger, its sleek modern buildings contrasting with the white-painted, clapboard houses of its old town, is Magellan's next Norwegian landfall. Step ashore to explore before enjoying the breathtaking passage though Lysefjord, where the towering Preikestolen rock formation soars above the waters.

At sea
Spend today relaxing as Magellan cruises back to Newcastle.

Newcastle, UK
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 2000hrs Newcastle was once among the most vibrant centres of the British Industrial Revolution, and has now evolved into one of England's most energetic and exciting cities. Some of your newfound friends will disembark and finish their journey here, and you'll have some time to explore before beginning the final leg of your cruise.
