Glorious Fjords in Summer
This very special summertime cruise showcases western Norway at its glorious best. Cruise deep into Norway’s pristine interior, along three exquisite fjords, with welcoming stops at Stavanger, Olden, Flåm and Bergen. Join Marco Polo as she sets sail from Bristol Avonmouth, cruising to Stavanger on Boknafjord. Continue north, further into Norway’s interior, along the spectacular Nordfjord to the picturesque village of Olden. Marco Polo then turns south, and to dramatic Flåm, home of the famous mountain railway, located at the end of the Sognefjord. Continue to Bergen, unofficial capital of the fjords, its old town lined with colourful wooden buildings, before returning to the UK.

Day 1Depart from Bristol, UK
Depart: 1315hrs Board Marco Polo in Bristol, settle in to your cabin and relax as she gets underway as you enjoy lunch.
Day 4Stavanger, Norway
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1300hrs The prosperous former fishing capital of Stavanger, its sleek modern buildings contrasting with the white-painted, clapboard houses of its old town, is Marco Polo's next Norwegian landfall. Step ashore to explore before enjoying the breathtaking passage though Boknafjord.
Day 5Olden, Norway
Arrive: 0900hrs Depart: 1600hrs Today you’ll call at Olden. This is the starting point for an excursion, through scenic countryside, to the famous Briksdal Glacier. This immense cliff of ice is actually just one of the 50 arms of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, which looms over the entire eastern reach of the Nordfjord.
Day 6Flåm, Norway
Arrive: 0900hrs Depart: 1900hrs The remote village of Flåm is set in one of Sognefjord’s most remote corners. From here, there's the chance to enjoy a truly unforgettable shore excursion, boarding the world-famous Flåmsbana Mountain Railway for the journey, through the region's breathtaking scenery, to Myrdal.
Day 7Bergen, Norway
Arrive: 0900hrs Depart: 1800hrs This morning Marco Polo arrives in Bergen, one of the most beautifully located cities in the world. This ancient fishing and trading port, spectacularly set amid hills and fjords, is also one of Northern Europe’s most enjoyable destinations. Step ashore to explore the harbour and fish market, discover Bryggen’s historic wooden warehouses or ride the funicular to the top of ‘Mount’ Fløyen.
Day 10Arrive in Bristol, UK
