Day OneFly to Lisbon and transfer along the coast to Estoril and the hotel, your comfortable home for the Christmas holiday.
Day TwoExplore the wonderful Portuguese capital, Lisbon, on our included guided excursion. See the historic Belem quarter, the broad avenues of the Baixa and the narrow streets of the Alfama district. You'll also have a chance to soak up the city's pre-Christmas atmosphere.
Day ThreeRest and relax at the hotel, perhaps enjoying the health centre's hot tub or Turkish bath, or join today's optional excursion to the walled hill-top town of Obidos, the former fishing village of Nazare beneath its rocky promontory, and the fabled shrine at Fatima.
Day Four (Christmas Eve)Today is left completely free for you to enjoy the delights of the hotel and elegant Estoril.
Day Five (Christmas Day)Today's optional excursion takes in Estoril's fashionable neighbour Cascais and UNESCO-listed Sintra, with its Moorish Royal Palace and Disney-esque Palacio da Pena. This evening, begin your Christmas celebrations with dinner at the hotel.
Day SixEnjoy a Christmas Day to remember, as you join new-found friends for a special Christmas dinner, perhaps followed by a stroll along the seafront to work off the calories.
Day SevenThe last of the included excursions takes us to charming, exquisite, UNESCO-listed Evora. See the Roman temple of Augustus (often referred to as the Temple of Diana) and the fortified cathedral, which stand in the centre of the city, separated by the city museum.

The elegant, modern Vila Gale can be found just a few minutes on foot from charming Praia do Tamariz beach and Estoril's seafront promenade. It is also close to Estoril's famous casino and the town's many shops, bars and restaurants.
The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, a well-equipped health club and gym, an elegant bar, and a reception. An excellent excellent restaurant serves Portuguese specialities, and 24-hour room service is available.

European closing timesShops in Europe will generally close from early afternoon on Christmas Eve until 27th December. Included tours and excursions have been chosen for their scenic or historic value.
Hotel transfer timesThe transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately 30 minutes.
Combining hotel transfersWe sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.
Special requirementsIf you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.
Disabled accessThe majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Itinerary changesOccasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.
