Day 1Fly to Malta, meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your chosen hotel in Qawra.
Day 2Rest and relax in the hotel, getting to know this delightful area, which throws itself into the Christmas festivities every year. If time allows, pay a visit to the bars and cafes that fringe the sandy bay, many of which are sure to be dressed for the season.
Day 3On the first of our included excursions you'll explore Valletta. Visit the award-winning Malta Experience, where an audio-visual presentation will reveal the history of the island and its capital; the Upper Barracca Gardens; and the Auberge de Castille - former home to the Knights of St John.
Day 4Today brings you opportunities to relax, explore under your own steam, or fit in some last-minute Christmas shopping.
Day 5Our second included excursion explores the area across from Valletta's Grand Harbour, where three medieval 'cities' reflect the island's rich history. See one of the earliest Maltese Crosses in Vittoriosa, one of the Mediterranean's oldest dockyards at Cospicua, and Senglea with its waterside houses and steps down to the sea.
This evening, begin your Christmas celebrations with dinner and live entertainment at the hotel.
Day 6Enjoy a perfect Christmas day of rest, relaxation and celebration in the hotel and its surroundings, including traditional Christmas Dinner and live entertainment.
Day 7Enjoy a restful Boxing Day, or perhaps join the optional excursion to delightful Gozo. Board the ferry for a crossing to the quaint port of Mgarr, and visit the island's fortified capital, Victoria, picturesque Marsalforn, famous Calypso's Cave overlooking sandy Ramla Bay and the fascinating Inland Sea at Dwerja. Later, spend a last evening in the hotel, reliving the highlights of a special Christmas.
Days 8-11Enjoy a restful few days in and around your hotel today, as you recharge after a few busy days of sightseeing. On Day 10 you'll also have another chance to visit the delightful island of Gozo.
Day 12A hugely enjoyable day begins with a journey inland to Mosta's famous church, the vast unsupported dome of which survived a direct hit during WWII. The tour also includes visits to Rabat, famous for its subterranean catacombs, and Mdina, the ancient, fortified former capital, with its beautiful 'silent city' of narrow streets lined by stone-built houses.
This evening, celebrate in style with dinner and live entertainment at the hotel.

This excellent hotel is centrally located a short stroll from the resort's promenade and beach. There is a vast array of shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and the casino and the bus station that connects Qawra to the rest of the island are very close by.
The Santana has a roof-top swimming pool and sun terrace (weather permitting), an indoor heated pool and 24-hour coffee shop and restaurant. There is also a bar and lounge area, a reception, two lifts and a pub. The hotel's leisure centre offers a fitness room, sauna, Jacuzzi and various health and beauty treatments.

Extensively refurbished in 2009, the four-star Dolmen Resort Hotel is beautifully located at the water's edge, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and St Paul's islands. The resort of Qawra is a pleasant five-minute stroll from the hotel grounds.
The hotel's facilities include a reception area, a casino, an a la carte and buffet restaurant, a cocktail bar and a cafeteria. There are four outdoor swimming pools on the grounds, and the newly designed spa incorporates state-of-the-art therapy rooms with the latest equipment as well as a fitness room, an indoor pool with hydro-massage and a sauna. The hotel has an entertainment programme with shows and activities most evenings.

Combining hotel transfersWe sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Disabled accessThe majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Itinerary changesOccasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.
