Day 1
Depart Liverpool, UKDepart: 1700hrs Board Magellan in Liverpool, today, settle in to your cabin and relax as your cruise begins this afternoon.
Day 2
Cobh, IrelandArrive: 1200hrs Depart: 1900hrs Magellan's first call is the long, narrow harbour at Cobh, the maritime gateway to the capital of southwest Ireland, Cork. Shore excursions here offer you the chance to discover this historic city, to head into the beautiful rolling countryside to fashionable Kinsale or to visit famous Blarney Castle, just north of the city, for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone.
Day 6
Gibraltar, British Overseas TerritoryArrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1900hrs Today Magellan arrives at the tiny British territory of Gibraltar. Explore the very British Main Street, and take the cable car to the summit of the famous Rock – not only for the tremendous views to Morocco's Atlas Mountains, but also to meet the outpost's famously mischievous Barbary Apes.
Day 8
Arrecife, LanzaroteArrive: 0930hrs Depart: 2200hrs Your first Canary Islands call is Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote. The black sand beaches of this sun-baked and colourful holiday isle fringe warm waters, and our visit here offers the chance to head to Timanfaya National Park's "fire mountains" and take a camel ride to the edge of a volcano.
Day 9
Las Palmas, Gran CanariaArrive: 0800hrs Depart: 2400hrs Today Magellan arrives in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria’s principal port. Wander the palm-fringed squares and cobbled streets of Vegueta, the port's old town, immerse yourself in the bustle of modern Puerto de la Luz or take an excursion to explore the rugged landscape of Pico de las Nieves or the pristine sand dunes of Maspalomas.
Day 10
Santa Cruz de TenerifeArrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1500hrs Optional excursions will let you discover this unforgettable island, which that boasts the chance to experience "the whole world in one day" from swimming in warm waters to throwing snowballs on the slopes of Spain's highest peak, Mt Teide. Discover the glitz of the Santa Cruz's shopping malls, the stunning gardens, the banana plantations and the forests of giant pines and eucalyptus trees.
Day 11
Funchal, MadeiraArrive: 0900hrs Depart: 2000hrs Some 500 miles off the coast of Africa, Madeira is one of the world's most beautiful islands. This sun-blessed subtropical paradise is home to some of the most vibrant and exotic flora on Earth. Relax in Funchal, the island capital, visit the wonderful Botanical Gardens, and perhaps race downhill from Monte to Livramento in a wickerwork 'toboggan'!
Day 13
Lisbon, PortugalArrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1600hrs Lisbon, the Portuguese capital, is Magellan's final port of call. Wander up through the cobbled streets of the Alfama towards Sao Jorge Castle, relax by the fountain in Rossi Square or follow the shoreline along to where the ornate battlements of the Belem Tower guard the mouth of the River Tagus.
