Day OneBoard Marco Polo in Cardiff today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.
DayThis morning finds us in the Isles of Scilly. Marco Polo anchors here in sheltered waters, giving you the opportunity to go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary's, the flower-strewn byways beyond, and stunning Tresco, where the famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest subtropical plant collection.
DayCrossing the Channel to France, our first port of call is Honfleur at the mouth of the Seine. Wander the streets behind the pretty harbour, or perhaps join an optional excursion into the surrounding countryside.
DayRelax on board as Marco Polo spends another day at sea.
DayThis morning we'll tie up in the great natural harbour at Invergordon on Scotland's rugged East Coast. Step ashore to explore, or join an optional shore excursion, perhaps to Inverness in search of Nessie. Golfers may head to the fine course at nearby Dornoch, while whisky connoisseurs can make a pilgrimage to the celebrated Glen Ord Distillery.
DayToday Marco Polo arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.
DayOur next port is the Shetland capital, Lerwick. Spend time exploring this rugged but enchanting town, or join an excursion to the 3,000 year-old archaeological site at Jarlshof, with its Bronze and Iron Age remains.
DaySpend another day at sea, hopefully enjoying sunny skies, as Marco Polo cruises south and down the coast of Western Scotland.
DayThe small town of Tobermory on the beautiful island of Mull, with its picturesque waterfront of brightly painted buildings, is a delightful place to explore, as is nearby Duart Castle, the famous seat of Clan Maclean.
DayEarly this morning, Marco Polo arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter developments that pay homage to the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast ’stone staircase’ of the Giant’s Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.
DayMarco Polo arrives in Cork's long, narrow harbour at Cobh, this morning. Shore excursions here offer you the chance to discover this historic capital of southwest Ireland, to head into the beautiful rolling countryside to fashionable Kinsale or to visit famous Blarney Castle, just north of the city, for a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone.
