Explore some of Britain’s ’other’ isles on this wonderful early summer cruise. As Columbus sails anticlockwise around the UK you’ll have the chance to see historic Kirkwall in the Orkney Isles, Portree on the Isle of Skye, colourful Tobermory on Mull and lovely St Mary’s in the Scilly Isles, and to enjoy short detours to the lively Irish capital and across the Channel to Amsterdam and pretty Honfleur at the mouth of the River Seine.
Weighing in at 63,000 tonnes and 250 metres, Columbus is the biggest ship in the CMV fleet. Originally launched in 1989 (by Audrey Hepburn), she was extensively refitted in 2015, and now offers 1500 passengers spacious accommodation and elegant communal areas arranged over 12 decks and topped off with the panoramic Dome Observatory.

Day OneBoard Columbus in Tilbury today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.
Day TwoAt once historic and cosmopolitan, Amsterdam is our first port of call. Get to know this delightful, friendly city of picturesque canals and step-gabled buildings, perhaps visiting its world-class museums or exploring those enchanting waterways on a canal cruise.
Day ThreeSpend today relaxing and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.
Day FourToday Columbus arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.
Day FiveThe Isle of Skye is a wonderful place to explore. Spend the day in picturesque Portree, with its quayside fish 'n' chip shops, or join an excursion and head north, past the Old Man of Storr, to Duntum's Museum of Island Life; west to brooding Dunvegan Castle; south past the spectacular Cuillins; or even across the bridge to mainland Scotland.
Day SixThe small town of Tobermory on the beautiful island of Mull, with its picturesque, multi-coloured houses encircling the waterfront, is a delightful place to explore, as is nearby Duart Castle, the famous seat of Clan Maclean.
Day SevenToday Columbus arrives in Dublin. This great city of culture, once home to Joyce, Yeats, Wilde and Swift, is one of Europe's most engaging capitals. Grafton and O'Connell Streets are popular with visitors, as are the city's famous bars and pubs, cafes and coffee shops.
Day EightThis morning finds us in the Isles of Scilly. Columbus anchors here in sheltered waters, giving you the opportunity to go ashore to explore Hugh Town on St Mary's, the flower-strewn byways beyond, and stunning Tresco, where the famous Abbey Gardens house Britain's finest subtropical plant collection.
DayGuernsey's St Peter Port welcomes us this morning. See 800-year-old Castle Cornet, which guards the entrance to the harbour, wander the cobbled central quarter and make the most of the island's tax-free shopping.
DayCrossing the Channel, our next port of call is Honfleur at the mouth of the Seine. Wander the streets behind the pretty harbour, or perhaps join an optional excursion to Monet's delightful house and gardens at Giverny.
