Sail from Harwich to lively Amsterdam, then continue east for the 61-mile journey through the Kiel Canal to tranquil Nynäshamn, for the chance to visit Sweden’s island-dotted capital, Stockholm. A call at elegant Helsinki is followed by an overnight visit to gilded St Petersburg, before Marco Polo heads to Estonia’s fairy-tale capital, Tallinn. Continue to Warnemünde, for the chance to visit fascinating Berlin, before heading home via the Kiel Canal.

Day 1Depart Harwich, UK
Depart: 1600hrs Board Marco Polo in Harwich, today. Settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail, and later enjoy your first dinner and evening's entertainment on board.
Day 2Amsterdam, Netherlands
Arrive: 0730hrs Depart: 1300hrs At once historic and cosmopolitan, Amsterdam is Marco Polo's next port of call. Spend the morning exploring this delightful, friendly city of picturesque canals and step-gabled buildings, perhaps visiting its world-class museums or drifting along those enchanting waterways on a canal cruise. Marco Polo will cruise away from Amsterdam after lunch, heading north.
Day 3Transit Kiel Canal
Relax as Marco Polo makes her way through the Kiel Canal from the North Sea to the Baltic.
Day 5Nynäshamn, Sweden
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1500hrs As Marco Polo calls at Nynäshamn you’ll have the chance to head to Stockholm on an optional shore excursion. Best explored on foot, the Swedish capital spans 14 islets and boasts a wonderful mix of historic sights and fine city parks. Its ancient heart is Gamla Stan, a beguiling labyrinth of cobbled streets, shops, cafes and restaurants.
Day 6Helsinki, Finland
Arrive: 1000hrs Depart: 1700hrs Step ashore, today, to discover Helsinki, Finland's elegant capital. Explore the harbour-side fish market, take a stroll in nearby Esplanade Park, and don't miss the monumental neo-Classical buildings of stunning Senate Square, which have played the part of Moscow in so many Cold War movies.
Days 7 and 8St Petersburg, Russia
Arrive: 0700hrs (Day Eight) Depart: 1800hrs (Day Nine) Marco Polo will spend two days in St Petersburg, one of the world's most startling and glorious cities, with its world-renowned Hermitage Museum, its wide canal-side boulevards and its modern, cosmopolitan atmosphere. You'll have lots of time in the city, so don't miss our optional excursion to the Tsars' Summer Palace at Petrodvorets, the chance to explore the city's Haymarket, or the opportunity to see the opulence of the Mariinsky Theatre, home to the world-renowned Kirov Ballet.
Day 9Tallinn, Estonia
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1700hrs Today you arrive in beautiful Tallinn. Step back in time as you explore the enchanting Estonian capital and its perfectly preserved old town, winding cobblestone streets full of storybook houses, steepled churches and ancient buildings, all watched over by Toompea Castle.
Day 11Warnemünde, Germany
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 2100hrs This morning, Marco Polo arrives in Warnemünde. Discover the port's charming gabled houses and historic Neuer Markt, or join the optional excursion to Berlin to explore the city's highlights – from the Brandenburg Gate and the 1926 Olympic Stadium to Hitler's Bunker and Checkpoint Charlie.
Day 13Transit Kiel Canal
Today, Marco Polo arrives in Holtenau to begin her second transit of the Kiel Canal.
Day 14Portsmouth, UK
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1600hrs Portsmouth has a long, proud maritime history. Visit the refurbished D-Day Museum to see the 82-metre long embroidery of images and events from Operation Overlord, or perhaps head to HMS Victory, HMS Warrior or the Mary Rose Museum.
Day 15Arrive Harwich
