Day OneBoard Astoria in Hull today, and settle in to your cabin as the ship prepares to set sail.
Day TwoSpend today relaxing, and getting to know the ship, her crew and your fellow passengers.
Day ThreeThe prosperous former fishing capital of Stavanger, its sleek modern buildings (especially the striking Norwegian Petroleum Museum) contrasting with the white-painted, clapboard houses of its waterfront and old town, is Astoria's first Norwegian landfall. Step ashore to wander before we enjoy the breathtaking passage though Lysefjord, where the towering Preikestolen rock formation soars above the waters.
Day FourThe tiny village of Flam, at the inner end of Aurlandsfjord, welcomes Astoria today. Here you'll have the chance to board the world-famous Flamsbana Mountain Railway for the journey to Myrdal. Later this afternoon, the ship navigates her way into stunning Naeroyfjord where some of fjordland's prettiest scenery awaits.
Day FiveToday you’ll call at Olden. This tiny village of clapbpoard houses and rolling green pastures is the starting point for an excursion, through scenic countryside, to the famous Briksdal Glacier. This immense frozen cliff is actually just one of the 50 arms of the Jostedal Glacier, which covers almost 200 square miles of the surrounding landscape in an vast, slowly shifting blanket of ice.
Day SixAstoria cruises into beautiful Romsdalsfjord and up to Andalsnes, today. From here you'll have the chance to take a trip through some of Norway’s most spectacular mountain scenery, and perhaps visit the famous wooden Rodven stave church in its dreamy setting beside the fjord.
Day SevenCompact and friendly, Bergen was once a great trading city within the Hanseatic League. It remains Norway's second city and, despite being sheltered from the sea by its seven hills and outlying islands, is unashamedly nautical in outlook. Visit the vibrant harbour and fish market, stroll past the wooden warehouses of Bryggen and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of 'Mount' Floyen.
Day EightA final day at sea, reliving the memories of your Norwegian cruise.
Day NineBid farewell to Astoria and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise. Back to top
