Leaving the local area, in the early morning we'll journey to the Birmingham area. Stopping en route for lunch (payable locally), we'll head straight into central Birmingham and take our seats for the highlight of our weekend - the 2pm performance of the Birmingham International Tattoo.
The Tattoo is a magical blend of music and colour, pomp and pageantry, popular with audiences both young and old. See the massed marching bands, the fanfare trumpeters, the field-gun competition, the dog display-team, the massed parade of standards and many other spectacular performances that fill this three-hour extravaganza.
After what promises to be a really memorable show, we will re-board the coach and continue to the hotel for dinner.
After breakfast we'll leave the hotel by coach, and head into the beautiful Cotswolds. Here gently rolling hills, tree-lined valleys and ancient woodland form the perfect backdrop for honey-coloured stone villages and famous market towns.
We'll visit two of the area's most famous towns - Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold (with its impressive market square). You'll have plenty of time to explore both villages, and perhaps have lunch, before we head home in the mid-afternoon, arriving back at your original pick-up point by early-to-mid evening.
