We leave the local area this morning and travel to your hotel, arriving by late afternoon. This evening is at leisure, with dinner payable locally.
Today we'll head to historic Hampton Court, Henry VIII's glorious palace on the bank of the River Thames, where what is now the world's largest flower show takes place. Arriving during mid morning, you'll have plenty of time to explore the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and the numerous show gardens. Enjoy presentations from well-known gardening experts, take tips and inspiration from live demonstrations and absorb the latest gardening trends. Check out the fascinating trade stands and pick up a wealth of traditional, practical and innovative ideas from top garden designers.
This afternoon relax by the bandstand and enjoy the music, sit by the long water, or treat yourself to a glass of Pimm's or Champagne. There'll be time to enjoy an early evening meal before we re-board the coach and return to your hotel.
Alternatively you may wish to take advantage of our optional entry to Hampton Court Palace including guided tour and spend the morning exploring Henry VIII's royal residence. Highlights include access to the Chocolate Kitchens - opened for the first time in nearly 300 years - the Cumberland Art Gallery with masterpieces by Rembrandt, Holbein and Van Dyck, and of course the chance to lose yourself in the world's oldest maze!
This morning it's off to the flagship, tranquil, 240-acre RHS Gardens at Wisley, developed over 100 years. Admire the striking delphiniums and dahlias in full bloom; wander through the alpine meadow and rock garden; and don't miss the cathedral-like Glasshouse, showcasing plants from around the world.
Take the chance to refuel at the Food Hall or the Glasshouse Cafe (payable locally) before we re-board the coach in the mid afternoon to commence our journey home. We should arrive back in your local area by mid-to-late evening.
