We leave the local area this morning and head to historic, picturesque Royal Windsor where there's always plenty to see and do. You may like to visit the magnificent castle - the largest inhabited castle in the world (not included in price). Highlights include the lavish State Apartments including St George's Hall, the Grand Reception Room and the new Lantern Lobby. There is also a fascinating exhibition about the fire and the subsequent restoration. In the late afternoon we will continue to our overnight hotel in London.
We head to Kensington Palace this morning, a working royal residence which is also the official London home of Prince William and his family, as well as other members of the Royal Family. Take your time exploring the magnificent King's State Apartments, including the King's Gallery which houses some of the finest paintings in the Royal Collection; browse the more intimate Queen's Apartments and learn what life was like in the Stuart and Georgian royal courts. The highlight of the visit will be the exhibition Diana: Her Fashion Story, charting the evolution of the Princess's style and the cultivation of her image over the years.
Contained within six rooms, the exhibition shows items from her wardrobe worn to complement any occasion, whether for formal or charity engagements or a glamorous gala event. 2018 is the second and final year of the exhibition, and sees a number of changes from the start of May. These include more exquisite outfits from throughout the Princess's public life, and some items never before displayed at Kensington Palace.
We leave London in mid-afternoon for the journey home, arriving back in the local area by mid--to-late evening.
