Itinerary

Day One

Leaving the local area this morning, we journey to our hotel, stopping at a place of interest en-route before arriving in good time to unpack and relax before dinner is served.

Day Two

Following breakfast, its off for the highlight of our weekend: the RHS Chatsworth Flower Show.

The show will be laid out to maximise the unique venue and natural beauty of the landscape, capitalising on the estate's stunning vistas and of course, the magnificent ancestral house, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.

One of the highlights will undoubtedly be the recreation of Sir Joseph Paxton's magnificent Great Conservatory at Chatsworth, which took four years to build and was the largest glass building in England prior to the construction of South London's ill-fated 'Crystal Palace'. The construction will house glorious floral displays and miniature Mediterranean and tropical habitats. Marvel at the innovative and inspirational show gardens showcasing the very latest thinking in garden design; a new competition revolving round the Society's new Science Strategy - 'Gardening in a Changing World'; a ground breaking range of sculptural designs, and of course plenty of opportunities to shop for the very latest in gardening gadgets, tools and ornaments.

With its combination of modern and classic design, plants from every season, exciting new introductions and innovative solutions for gardens of all sizes, you'll be sure to leave longing to try out a host of new ideas in your own garden!

After what is sure to be a fascinating and inspirational day, we leave the Chatsworth Flower Show in the late afternoon for the journey home. We should arrive back in the local area by mid-late evening.
