Yorkshire is home to some of the most charming and interesting historic towns and cities and beautiful scenery in the country and this wonderful weekend break is not to be missed.We head into Yorkshire Dales National Park, an area of great natural beauty with beautiful rolling countryside, with stops in Skipton, known as the ‘Gateway to the Dales, where its famous historic market dating back to the 1200's will be taking place, and Grassington with its cobbled market square, shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants.
We have also included a day to enjoy the fabulous cathedral city of York. With plenty of time for you to explore, you can enjoy its many sights and sounds formed by its rich history and heritage from the Vikings to Romans.

Itinerary
Day 1
Join your coach this morning and relax on board as we make our way to Yorkshire with suitable stops on the way. Arrive at your comfortable hotel where there will be time to settle in before your included evening meal.Day 2-3
With hearty Yorkshire breakfasts and evening meals included, your hotel will give you a taste of Yorkshire, and your INCLUDED excursions will make you fall in love with the aptly named 'Gods Own Country' even more.We head into the stunning Yorkshire Dales, calling first at the pretty market town of Skipton, known as the Gateway to the Dales, with its famous 900 year old castle, romantic ruined priory and historic cobbled High Street it is a delight to explore. You can browse the award-winning market, which still operates under a charter granted by King John over 800 years ago. We also stop in the picturesque village of Grassington, with its striking surroundings, traditional old stone buildings and quirky shops. This bustling cobbled market square set against a backdrop of the beautiful dales was used as the fictional market town of TV’s All Creatures Great & Small.
The timbered city of York is an ancient and compact walled city with highlights including ‘The Shambles’, one of the best-preserved medieval streets in the world, the National Railway Museum, the JORVIK Viking Centre, the magnificent Minster and the state-of-the-art Undercroft Museum located in chambers underneath the cathedral. You could also take a river cruise to see the city from a different perspective.
Day 4
After our final breakfast today, it is time to say farewell to Yorkshire as we board our coach for the last time. Sit back and relax as we head for home, and reflect on this warm and friendly county and the history, fun and wonderful experiences you have enjoyed.Skipton & Market

The Holiday Inn Leeds Brighouse is conveniently located just off the M62 with countryside views. The hotel bar and lounge area provides an informal and relaxed space to unwind. Bright, modern bedrooms are all well equipped with en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, flat Screen TV with Freeview, hairdryer and iron and ironing board plus there is Wifi throughout. There is a Health Club with swimming pool, spa pool, sauna, and steam room plus a fully equipped gym. The hotel does not have a lift but ground floor rooms are available on request.
