If you love our coastal heritage, we think you're going to love this tour. You'll stay in the heart of Weymouth at the charming Russell Hotel, which is set right on the Esplanade and offers beautiful views over the sandy beach and Weymouth Bay. The hotel also organises great evening entertainment every night for you to enjoy, unless you'd prefer to head off into Weymouth on your own or with new friends you have made on the tour.You'll have plenty of time to explore Weymouth but we've also included fascinating excursions to Dorchester (famous for housing the best-preserved Roman ruins in the country) and the Dorset coast. We'll also take you to the lovely Isle of Purbeck to spend some time in the pretty seaside resort of Swanage. We know you're going to love it....

Itinerary
Day 1
Join your coach this morning at your convenient local pick-up point, and head to the fantastic Dorset resort of Weymouth, and your centrally located hotel. On arrival at the comfortable Russell Hotel you will find yourself in the heart of this popular resort with its beautiful golden beaches and pretty harbour. Enjoy time to settle in and get yourself orientated. Take time to enjoy a stroll along the lovely seafront with its Georgian buildings that became world famous as the backdrop to the sailing events of the 2012 Olympic Games. Perhaps enjoy a drink in the bar before your first included evening meal and live entertainment.
Days 2 to 4
Your centrally located hotel means you are close to all the great things Weymouth has to offer. So make sure you explore and enjoy every moment. Why not hire a deckchair, enjoy a paddle in the shallow waters and enjoy fish & chips as you listen to the gentle waters lap against the golden beach. Visit the harbour and sit back and relax in one of the lovely bars or bistros and watch the luxury yachts, fishing trawlers and even the RNLI Lifeboat as they sail by. Or step out to the bustling town centre with great independent traders selling everything from traditional seaside rock to beachwear, books and fabulous foodie treats from cheese and wine to pasties and pies!

The Dorset Museum will give you an insight into the county's Jurassic past through to the life and work of Dorset's famous novelist and poet Thomas Hardy. Swanage & Isle of Purbeck
The coastal town of Swanage on the Isle of Purbeck is pure seaside nostalgia, served by a traditonal steam train, take a walk along the Victorian pier or enjoy a coastal walk with stunning views and amazing wildlife. Many artists have made their home in this beautiful town, and you can browse and buy their unique wares from the many studios, gift shops, galleries and workshops the town has to offer. Enjoy some of the delicious local produce, or sit down with an ice cream and watch the pretty town views.The Isle of Purbeck itself offers beautiful scenery and stunning views. Back to top
