Plan My Trip

Day 1

Join your coach at your convenient pick up point this morning before heading to the vibrant harbourside of Bristol, home to loads of great attractions and eateries for you to explore. We recommend a visit to Isambard Kingdom Brunel's fascinating SS Great Britain for a glimpse into the golden age of steam and one of the world's greatest engineers. Rejoin your coach this afternoon and relax as you travel to Somerset's favourite seaside resort of Weston super Mare, and your fantastically located hotel overlooking the sea front and Grand Pier. Enjoy time to settle in and perhaps take a stroll along the prom before enjoying dinner and time to get acquainted with your fellow travellers at the bar, or a wander out to see the lights and fun of Weston at night.

Days 2 & 3

Enjoy your traditional full English breakfasts along with free time in Weston-super-Mare.

This elegant resort grew out of tiny fishing villages 200 years ago. The wonderful sweep of Weston Bay, with views over to Wales and down to Exmoor, is a never-ending source of satisfaction. Miles of broad, flat sandy beach are perfect for everyone. There’s also a host of cafes, pubs, and restaurants where you can sit and watch the world go by. Why not head to the lovely Grand Pier to enjoy the spectacular views of Weston?

Spend all of your time in the resort or join your INCLUDED excursion to Wells and Glastonbury. Wells is the smallest City in England, which offers numerous historical marvels such as the famous 14th century Astronomical Clock, The Bishop’s Palace and of course, the outstanding cathedral. You will find yourself transported to a different age, whether you shop or explore this picture perfect setting. Continue to the equally ancient Glastonbury, a charming town to browse and wander through full of myth and magic from its mysterious past. You can explore the Abbey, reputedly the burial place of King Arthur himself, check out the fantastic independent shops or enjoy a drink or snack in one of the many welcoming cafes and pubs. Make sure you leave room for dinner!

And don't forget as an additional treat for those who are interested, a Queen tribute band will be playing on the hotel terrace on Sunday afternoon.

Return to the hotel for dinner and some great entertainment either inside your hotel or in the heart of Weston itself.

Day 4

It is sadly time to say farewell to Weston and Somerset today. After a filling breakfast, the fun is not over as we head to Clifton Village in Bristol, renowned for its stunning Georgian and Regency architecture, in particular Royal York Crescent which was once reputed to be the longest terrace in Europe. It boasts a whole host of shops and restaurants and you will have some free time to browse and maybe have a bite in one of the many eateries. Rejoin your coach this afternoon and head homewards with lots of lovely memories and time to relax on board.

Bristol Harbourside

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationBristol’s harbour was once a busy dock where sailors and merchants traded goods and set sail on adventures. Today it is a buzzing scene full of restaurants, bars and a host of activities. As you stroll around the harbour, you’ll come across some world-class attractions boasting fantastic culture including Brunel’s SS Great Britain, We The Curious, Bristol Aquarium, Arnolfini, Spike Island, Watershed and M Shed. If you prefer a relaxed day out to Bristol, you can find a table at a waterside cafe and watch the boats and swans swim by; there are plenty of fine eateries around Bristol harbour, offering all cuisines and styles of food such as Stable, Steak of the Art, River Grille, Za Za Bazaar and more.

Wells & Glastonbury

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationsWells is the smallest city in England nestled at the foot of the Mendip Hills and famed for its medieval architecture and its spectacular Gothic Cathedral, Bishop's Palace and Vicars' Close, said to be the oldest residential street in Europe. Wells has a wealth of fine eateries and fashionable shops. There is always lots going on in this compact city and you can enjoy it at its best on one of it's bustling market days held in Wells Market Place! (Wednesday and Saturday visits only)

Historic Glastonbury is a quirky, unique place to visit, best-known for its nearby annual music festival. A compact town, everything worth seeing is within walking distance and one of the most refreshing aspects of Glastonbury is that it is not over commercialised. The Abbey, dating from 670 AD is now an atmospheric ruin, and a visit is still very worthwhile. Prior to that time, the town existed as a Celtic religious centre. According to legend, 2000 years ago Joseph of Arimathea is said to have brought the young Jesus here. A 10-minute walk from the High Street will take you past Chalice Well to the foot of the famous mystical Glastonbury Tor. You can also enoy the 'new age' side to the town, with mystic shops and free spirits who have made Glastonbury their home. It is a legendary place that weaves its way through everything you experience here.

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationWeston-super-Mare, nestled on the Somerset coast and embraced by Weston Bay’s 2 mile long sandy beach has reinvented itself from its beginnings in Victorian history. Few towns can say that their beachfront is so close to the town centre, is mostly on the level without steep walkways and can offer so much to do, whatever the weather. The town centre's independent shops, cafes and bars are nestled within a few steps.

Well known for traditional donkey rides, the amusements and rides of the Grand Pier, ice-cream on the beach and fish & chips, there is so much more to offer as well! There’s two theatres, two cinemas, a free museum and a vast range of traditional and international cuisine – you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the amount of things to do.

Clifton Village

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationClifton Village is a beautiful suburb of Bristol, tucked away from the hubbub of city life and located just a five-minute drive away from the centre. It is famous for some of Bristol’s most iconic landmarks, such as the Suspension Bridge and Observatory. There is always something to see and do, from shopping to dining, gardens and beautiful walks.
