Weston & Bath Weekend 2023

Itinerary

Day 1

Join your coach at your convenient pick up point this morning before heading for the stunning city of Bath. On arrival you will have time to discover the delights of this ancient city at your leisure. Whether you want to get lost in Austen, visit the Roman Baths or take a rooftop thermal bath in the modern spa, there are choices galore. For a tasty treat try a Sally Lunn Bunn serving the same delicious recipe since 1680, or shop until you drop in the fantastic range of shops and boutiques that line the beautiful mellow stone streets. Rejoin your coach this afternoon and continue to Somerset's favourite seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare and your fantastically located hotel overlooking the sea front and Grand Pier. Enjoy time to settle in and perhaps take a stroll along the prom before enjoying dinner and time to get acquainted with your fellow travellers at the bar, or a wander out to see the lights and fun of Weston at night.

Day 2

Enjoy a tasty full English breakfast this morning before having free time in Weston-super-Mare. Why not head to the lovely Grand Pier to enjoy the spectacular views of Weston. The day is free for you to have fun and explore this much-loved resort which offers all the fun of the seaside close to your comfortable hotel. Make sure you leave room for this evening's dinner!

Day 3

It is sadly time to say farewell to Weston and Somerset today. After a filling breakfast, the fun is not over as we head to Cribbs Causeway in Bristol. You will have some free time to browse the numerous shops and maybe have a bite in one of the many eateries in the mall. Rejoin your coach this afternoon and head homewards with lots of lovely memories and time to relax on board.

Bath

The waters are still a big draw, both at the ancient Roman Baths and the thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. The compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain. Immerse yourself in Bath’s remarkable collection of museums and galleries, while admiring Bath's stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture that is straight from a Jane Austen novel. For a special treat enjoy the grandeur of the world-famous Pump Room for afternoon tea, and a sample of the healing Bath waters taken by the city's famous residents for hundreds of years. For something simpler but just as historic try a delicious Sally Lunn Bunn served in the famous eating house or to take away, made to the same recipe since 1680!  

Weston-super-Mare

Few towns can say that their beachfront is so close to the town centre, is mostly on the level without steep walkways and can offer so much to do, whatever the weather. The town centre's independent shops, cafes and bars are nestled within a few steps. 

Well known for traditional donkey rides, the amusements and rides of the Grand Pier, ice-cream on the beach and fish & chips, there is so much more to offer as well! There’s two theatres, two cinemas, a free museum and a vast range of traditional and international cuisine – you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the amount of things to do.
