Victoria's Isle Of Wight Weekend
4 days
BU4BAD
Enjoy a fabulous stay on one of the UK's most popular holiday islands. In the 19th century, Queen Victoria brought her court and wealthy Victorians to the Isle of Wight. The Queen’s annual holidays transformed this quiet island into the much-visited destination it is today, and it's not hard to see why. More than half the Isle of Wight is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With spectacular scenery and a rich royal heritage, the island has plenty to offer all year round.
We'll whisk you away and over the water on the short crossing from the mainland to your charming hotel in its prime cliff top location overlooking pretty Sandown Bay. With fantastic facilities including a sprung dance floor, games room, indoor heated swimming pool and entertainment on at least one night, you are also within easy reach of Shanklin town centre, old village and lovely seafront. Shanklin blends picture-postcard thatched cottages with traditional seaside charm. Stroll along the golden blue flag beaches or discover the beauty of Shanklin Chine, filled with rare plants, wildlife and enchanting waterfalls.
You can have plenty of time to explore on your own or join our included excursions to experience some of the best the island has to offer.
"It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot" said Queen Victoria of Osborne House, her palatial holiday home on the Isle of Wight, and you can discover why on our included visit. Then see it all on our scenic 'Round the Island Tour'. Just sit back, relax and let us look after you as you take in the picture-perfect sights...
This super weekend break is ideal for:
* Lovers of the Isle of Wight and its rich history
* Traditional seaside lovers looking for a relaxing break
* Picture perfect settings and scenery
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

After a final tasty breakfast, say farewell to the Isle of Wight and board your coach for the return crossing over the Solent and your onward journey home.Osborne House
INCLUDED Visitor DestinationOsborne House is the stunning seaside retreat of Queen Victoria. It was designed by Prince Albert, and loved so much by them both as they enjoyed a quieter life away from court in this perfect setting. Recognised as her favourite spot in the world, you can enjoy a glimpse of royal family life in this sumptuous ltalianate villa and its beautiful grounds, preserved as it was when the Queen died here in 1901. Step inside to explore the sumptuous ground floor state rooms that were used to entertain heads of states, princes and princesses. Admire the ornate architecture, furnishings and fine art collection and discover Victoria and Albert’s personal taste, style and passions. Relax in the open air as you wander rolling acres of the magnificent Osborne estate. Take in the riotous colours of the walled garden, or enjoy the peaceful shade of the woodland walk. Visit Victoria and Albert’s bathing beach and admire their children’s cottage for an intimate glimpse of royal family life. Stroll through the garden terraces and take in the same stunning views across the Solent that once reminded Prince Albert of the Bay of Naples.
