Valkenburg

Valkenburg is located in the South Limburg part of Holland, famous for its beautiful undulating scenery and pretty villages. As the oldest tourist centre in the Netherlands, Valkenburg itself boasts many attractions. It is famous for its historic caves with a network of over 150 miles of underground corridors beneath the town. A visit to these fascinating caves is highly recommended (opening varies seasonally). There is plenty to keep you occupied above ground as well, such as the striking Valkenburg Castle ruins, the only castle in the country built on a hill. There are also many shops, bars, cafés and restaurants.

Maastricht

Maastricht is a beautiful city to visit, filled with history, art and culture. It is a city surrounded by beautiful nature set in the south of Holland and boasting beautiful historic little districts, welcoming and exceptionally good restaurants and eateries, and plenty of art and attractions. And the best thing is that you can see the entire city centre on foot. Maastricht is also a city of indulgence and culinary highlights. There are pleasant lunchrooms, Michelin-starred restaurants and an extensive range of excellent regional products and dishes. In short, ‘bons vivants’ should not miss out on Maastricht!

Aachen

INCLUDED Visitor Destination
Venture to the three countries ‘meeting point’, where Belgium, Holland and Germany come together. We then continue to Aachen, ancient capital of the Frankish Empire, where you enjoy some free time to explore and view the impressive sights of this historic city. Nestled in the heart of western Germany, Aachen is a city with a rich heritage that dates back over a thousand years. Highlights include the Town Hall, and the Elisenbrunnen fountain, which is also the symbol of the town, plus magnificent Aachen Cathedral, northern Europe's oldest cathedral and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can wander through the bustling streets of the Altstadt (Old Town), where you'll find charming cafes, boutique shops, and quaint squares. Be sure to indulge in some of the local delicacies, such as Aachener Printen, a type of gingerbread cookie, and explore the city's vibrant culinary scene.

Monschau

Visiting Monschau offers a picturesque escape into a beautifully preserved medieval town in Germany's Eifel region. Stroll through its narrow cobblestone streets, flanked by half-timbered houses and charming boutiques. The Rotes Haus museum provides a fascinating glimpse into 18th-century life. Enjoy panoramic views from Monschau Castle and explore the scenic hiking trails around the area. The town is renowned for its delightful cafes and restaurants, offering local specialties. Monschau’s enchanting ambiance and rich history make it an ideal destination for travelers seeking a quaint and scenic retreat.
