Come with us to Devon's seaside party capital and stay at the Riviera Hotel, famed for its fabulous entertainment programme every evening along with a 2 for1 Bar between 8pm-11pm. But it doesn't all have to be party, party, party. You'll have ample time to explore and relax in this lovely seaside resort and maybe enjoy fish and chips or even an ice cream on the beach as well as joining us on our included excursion to Teignmouth and Dawlish. We also stop at delightful Exeter on our outward journey.

Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning at your convenient local pick-up point and head south west towards the glamourous English Riviera! We will make a stop at historic Exeter with its beautiful Cathedral, bustling quayside and Princesshay Shopping Centre, it makes it a great place to spend a few hours before heading to the hotel. On arrival in your palm tree lined resort of Torquay there will be plenty of time to settle in and enjoy a seaside stroll before dinner. Enjoy a drink in the bar to meet friends and fellow travellers, and make sure you have worked up an appetite to enjoy your evening meal, followed by fantastic entertainment that your central hotel is so famous for.

Days 2 & 3

There will be plenty of time to make the most of your fantastic seaside location, but make sure you don't miss your great INCLUDED excursion. Enjoy a jaunt along the coast to the traditional Devon seaside town of Dawlish with its wonderfully long golden sandy beach. Then on to the Georgian fishing port of Teignmouth. Discover this delightful seaside town's attractions or stroll along the beautiful promenade.

Back in Torquay, take time to explore your lovely seaside resort, whether it's a stroll along the palm lined promenade, some traditional fish & chips if you have room, or track down the mysterious connections with the enigmatic Agatha Christie! After dinner, there will once again be wonderful evening entertainment to enjoy every evening.

Day 4

Having experienced the very best of Devon scenery, food, hospitality and entertainment, it is time to say farewell to the English Riviera today. Relax on board your comfortable coach. as you head homewards with lovely memories of new experiences, friends and beautiful places.

Free time in Torquay

With its iconic palm trees, busy harbour, beautiful marina, sandy beach and wonderful array of cafes, bars & restaurants, there is something new to enjoy and discover during each visit. Grab a bucket and spade for a day at the beach, wander into town to enjoy an array of brand and independent shops or just take a stroll and marvel at the unique beauty that Torquay's gardens, seafront and walks provide. Don't forget, if you fancy a bit more sightseeing, Torquay's marina offers a wide selection of boat trips, allowing you the opportunity to discover the English Riviera Coastline by sea. Various bus routes offer further exploration with places such as Paignton and Babbacombe within easy reach.

Teignmouth & Dawlish

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationTeignmouth is a stunning coastal town with historic Georgian buildings, long sandy beaches, and fresh local food. The town sits on the edge of the mouth of the river Teign and the South Devon coast – and is surrounded by lush Devon countryside, so you won’t find a more beautiful setting for a visit. Teignmouth is the ideal year-round destination with a lovely promenade, Victorian pier, lido, play park and crazy golf all within easy reach of the beaches and town centre. The Town Beach is a long expanse of sand with the pier, arcades and promenade whilst River Beach is full of beautiful fishing boats and has a wonderful quaint village feel.

Dawlish is a traditional seaside town with a wonderful golden sand beach on its doorstep. The town offers a range of amusements and is centred upon The Lawn and Brook, which is home to the famous black swans. Dawlish boasts a long sandy beach which is perfect for summer days swimming, exploring rock pools or sand castle building. This popular town has plenty of interesting shops and a brook that runs through the centre of a wide open green, which is great for games and picnics or taking time to sit and enjoy an ice cream and watch the world go by.

If you’re in need of a spot of retail therapy Exeter’s Princesshay offers a contemporary mixture of shopping, leisure and restaurants all within walking distance of beautiful Exeter Cathedral. It has an eclectic mix of global High Street brands, mixed in with local one of a kind boutiques – a shopper’s paradise.

You could also explore the Historic Quayside, just a ten-minute walk from the cathedral, and take a stroll along the canal past quaint antique shops, art exhibitions, local bars and lively waterside restaurants. Back to top

Riviera Hotel Torquay

The Riviera Hotel in the heart of Torquay is the perfect place to enjoy good food, comfortable bedrooms, cabaret entertainment, superb indoor pool* and friendly customer service. Its great location is just a few minutes’ walk from Torquay’s award winning beaches, sparkling blue sea and all that the resort has to offer. The accommodation comprises 140 well-appointed bedrooms with tea & coffee making facilities and all Leisuretime guests will be accommodated in upgraded bedrooms when staying for 2 nights or more on selected dates! Enjoy free entertainment to suit all ages on most evenings, including bingo, quizzes, professional cabarets and dancing. WiFi is available in public areas. There are no ground floor bedrooms however there is a lift, although some rooms still have steps to access. Unfortunately, the nature and age of the building means that the hotel cannot easily accommodate guests in wheelchairs, using mobility scooters or with limited mobility so please contact us if you have any concerns in this respect prior to booking.
