Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning at your convenient local pick-up point and head south west towards the glamourous English Riviera! On arrival in your palm tree lined resort of Torquay there will be plenty of time to settle in and enjoy a seaside stroll before dinner. Enjoy a drink in the bar to meet friends and fellow travellers, and make sure you have worked up an appetite to enjoy your evening meal, followed by fantastic entertainment that your central hotel is so famous for.

Days 2 to 4

Enjoy a hearty breakfast every day and take time to explore the delights of Torquay. But make sure you don't miss your great INCLUDED excursions which include Exmouth & a stunning Exe river cruise with cream tea, Totnes & Dartmouth and a half day in the pretty coastal resort of Brixham. Make sure you still have enough energy to enjoy the fabulous entertainment in your hotel each evening after your delicious included evening meals!

Day 5

Having experienced the very best of Devon scenery, food, hospitality and entertainment, it is time to say farewell to the English Riviera today. Relax on board your comfortable coach, as you head homewards with lovely memories of new experiences, friends and beautiful places.

Exmouth & River Exe Cruise with Cream Tea

This relatively flat, vibrant town offers plenty of walking, a buzzing harbour as well as plenty of local shops and restaurants for you to browse and maybe try a local seafood treat. The town is the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and has two miles of sandy beach for you to enjoy. Enjoy a scenic cruise along the pretty River Exe from Exmouth to Topham and back - you’ll even be served a delicious Devonshire cream tea on board!

Totnes & Dartmouth

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationTotnes is a charming Devon town with a bustling main street and a regular market situated in the beautiful Dart Valley.  The town is surrounded by woodlands, grassy fields and riverside walks. It is built on a hill rising up from the lovely River Dart. The old warehouses on the wharf have been restored preserving the character making it an ideal spot to wander and explore the local traders and cafes.

You have to go a long way to find a town as pretty as Dartmouth. Overlooking one of the finest natural harbours in the UK, Dartmouth has a strong maritime heritage with the iconic Royal Naval College set on a hill overlooking the town. You will find a host of narrow lanes, stairways and corridors, and historical streets to explore. The town has fine restaurants, as well as arts, antiques and craft shops just about everywhere. The Greenway Ferry takes visitors across the river to the world famous home of Agatha Christie, who so loved this area. You are bound to fall in love with Dartmouth too!

Brixham

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationThe attractive fishing harbour of Brixham is fringed with a tumble of colourful fisher cottages on the surrounding hillsides. Explore the winding streets, where you can browse the unique gift and craft shops, enjoy some locally caught seafood or just relax and take in the views at the harbour cafes. And don’t forget to visit the famous replica of Sir Francis Drake’s iconic ship, The Golden Hind, which has docked in Brixham for over 50 years. Back to top

Riviera Hotel Torquay

The Riviera Hotel in the heart of Torquay is the perfect place to enjoy good food, comfortable bedrooms, cabaret entertainment, superb indoor pool* and friendly customer service. Its great location is just a few minutes’ walk from Torquay’s award winning beaches, sparkling blue sea and all that the resort has to offer. The accommodation comprises 140 well-appointed bedrooms with tea & coffee making facilities and all Leisuretime guests will be accommodated in upgraded bedrooms** when staying for 2 nights or more on selected dates! Enjoy free entertainment to suit all ages on most evenings, including bingo, quizzes, professional cabarets and dancing in the fabulous Show Bar. The Sports Bar boasts numerous large screen TVs showing different sports events all day. WiFi is available in public areas. Meals are self-service buffet style and assistance is available if required.

There are no ground floor bedrooms however there is a lift, although some rooms still have steps to access. Unfortunately, the nature and age of the building means that the hotel cannot easily accommodate guests in wheelchairs, using mobility scooters or with limited mobility so please contact us if you have any concerns in this respect prior to booking.

Single rooms have a £5 per night supplement and are usually smaller rooms with single beds and are available on request. Single travellers paying a larger supplement will be in a double room for sole occupancy.
