You will find a host of narrow lanes, stairways and corridors, and historical streets to explore. The town has fine restaurants, as well as arts, antiques and craft shops just about everywhere. The Greenway Ferry takes visitors across the river to the world famous home of Agatha Christie, who so loved this area. You are bound to fall in love with Dartmouth too!

The austere and foreboding Dartmoor Prison, built during the Napoleonic Wars, is the most iconic and famous part of Princetown, and the jail is still an important part of the country’s prison service, adding to the haunting atmosphere of the moor. With wild, open moorlands and deep river valleys, with a rich history and rare wildlife, Dartmoor is a unique place to experience and be inspired by.
