If you love to be entertained, then this is an Easter midweek tour not to be missed. Come with us to Devon's seaside party capital and stay at the excellent TLH Derwent Hotel, famed for its fabulous entertainment programme and great leisure facilities. You can also use the facilities at all of the hotels that make up TLH Leisure Resort. Their 4 hotels are linked together on one 7 acre site, each with their own personality and style in this great location. But it doesn't all have to be party, party, party. You'll have ample time to explore and relax in this lovely seaside resort and maybe enjoy an ice cream on the beach as well as joining us on your great range of included excursions.
This includes heading along the coast to Brixham, a fishing port within Torbay with a long and rich history, whilst in Dartmouth you can discover more about our rich naval heritage and watch the ships pulling in and out of one of the finest harbours in the country. We'll also find time to pop down to the pretty Regency seaside resort of Dawlish for some more fresh sea air, then on to Teignmouth, a stunning coastal town with a lovely high street, historic Georgian buildings, a Victorian Pier and more long sandy beaches. Plus, we have a scenic drive to explore rugged Dartmoor National Park including a stop in Tavistock where there are plenty of places for you to enjoy a traditional local pasty or a classic Devon Cream Tea!
We even include a stop in the delightful town of Newton Abbot in a lovely setting on the River Teign, sitting amongst the rolling Devon countryside.

Itinerary
Day 1
Join your comfortable coach this morning at your convenient local pick-up point and head south west towards the glamourous English Riviera! We make a stop on the way in the charming historic market town of Newton Abbot, surrounded by beautiful South Devon countryside. On arrival in your palm tree lined resort of Torquay there will be plenty of time to settle in and enjoy a seaside stroll before dinner. Enjoy a drink in the bar to meet friends and fellow travellers, and make sure you have worked up an appetite to enjoy your evening meal, followed by the fantastic entertainment that your central hotel resort is so famous for.
Days 2 to 4
There will be plenty of time to make the most of your fantastic seaside location with tasty breakfasts, delicious dinners and amazing entertainment. You can use the facilities of all of the four TLH hotels that are set together in this great location, but remember you are staying in the one with the best entertainment!Spend all of your time on resort of join us on our included excursions.
Life in picturesque Brixham centres on the harbour and the bustle of one of Britain's busiest fishing ports. You can wander around the many harbourside shops, watch the fishermen unloading their daily catch, or take a peek at the work of the artists who gather at Artist's Corner. Combined with an afternoon in the picture perfect riverside resort of Dartmouth, with beautiful views of the River Dart and stunning Royal Navy College you have a fantastic day showcasing the best of this beautiful area.
Enjoy a jaunt along the coast to the traditional Devon seaside town of Dawlish with its wonderfully long golden sandy beach, character cottages, impressive villas, narrow streets, bustling shops and welcoming tea rooms. Then on to the Georgian fishing port of Teignmouth. Discover this delightful seaside town's attractions or stroll along the beautiful promenade.
With a vast expanse of moorland that stretches out as far as the eye can see, unique Dartmoor is one of the remaining areas of Britain that is truly wild, full of stunning views, wooded valleys, rivers and tors. Our half day tour takes us through Dartmoor to include a stop in the market town of Tavistock, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the old streets with an eclectic mix of small independent shops and delicatessens, and take a peek behind the Town Hall to discover the award-winning and historic Pannier Market.
Day 5
Having experienced the very best of Devon scenery, food, hospitality and entertainment, it is time to say farewell to the English Riviera today. Relax on board your comfortable coach. as you head homewards with lovely memories of new experiences, friends and beautiful places.
Newton Abbot
INCLUDED Visitor DestinationNewton Abbot is an historic market town surrounded by beautiful South Devon countryside. The town has a high street full of shops as well as a great range of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and bars. If you like shopping, there are also a number of markets held throughout the week including an outdoor market held on a Wednesday and Saturday, and a popular indoor Pannier Market. The wide variety of shops range from high street names to independent retailers and a department store. The town also provides access to some great parks and outdoor spaces - Decoy Country Park, Courtenay Park and Bakers Park can all be found within walking distance of the centre, as can the Town Quay and new bridge.Brixham & Dartmouth
The attractive fishing harbour of Brixham is fringed with a tumble of colourful fisher cottages on the surrounding hillsides. Explore the winding streets, where you can browse the unique gift and craft shops, enjoy some locally caught seafood or just relax and take in the views at the harbour cafes. And don’t forget to visit the famous replica of Sir Francis Drake’s iconic ship, The Golden Hind, which has docked in Brixham for over 50 years.You have to go a long way to find a town as pretty as Dartmouth. Overlooking one of the finest natural harbours in the UK, Dartmouth has a strong maritime heritage with the iconic Royal Naval College set on a hill overlooking the town. You will find a host of narrow lanes, stairways and corridors, and historical streets to explore. The town has fine restaurants, as well as arts, antiques and craft shops just about everywhere. The Greenway Ferry takes visitors across the river to the world famous home of Agatha Christie, who so loved this area. You are bound to fall in love with Dartmouth too!
Teignmouth & Dawlish

The town sits on the edge of the mouth of the river Teign and the South Devon coast – and is surrounded by lush Devon countryside, so you won’t find a more beautiful setting for a visit. Teignmouth is the ideal year-round destination with a lovely promenade, Victorian pier, lido, play park and crazy golf all within easy reach of the beaches and town centre. The Town Beach is a long expanse of sand with the pier, arcades and promenade whilst River Beach is full of beautiful fishing boats and has a wonderful quaint village feel.Dawlish is a traditional seaside town with a wonderful golden sand beach on its doorstep. The town offers a range of amusements and is centred upon The Lawn and Brook, which is home to the famous black swans. Dawlish boasts a long sandy beach which is perfect for summer days swimming, exploring rock pools or sand castle building. This popular town has plenty of interesting shops and a brook that runs through the centre of a wide open green, which is great for games and picnics or taking time to sit and enjoy an ice cream and watch the world go by.
Dartmoor

It’s thought that Sherlock Holmes author Arthur Conan Doyle penned his most famous work, The Hound of the Baskervilles, during a stay at the Old Duchy Hotel, now the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre in the heart of Princetown. The austere and foreboding Dartmoor Prison, built during the Napoleonic Wars, is the most iconic and famous part of Princetown, and the jail is still an important part of the country’s prison service, adding to the haunting atmosphere of the moor. The Market was granted its Royal Charter in 1105 and has survived without a break for over 900 years.
