GU6ADY

Escape to one of Britain's most magical destinations, where crystal-clear turquoise waters, pristine white sandy beaches, and subtropical gardens create an almost Mediterranean paradise just off the Cornish coast. This enchanting journey takes you to the captivating Isles of Scilly, where time moves at island pace and every view looks like a postcard.

Your adventure begins with a comfortable overnight stay, as on Day 2 we have an early crossing aboard the legendary Scillonian III ferry from Penzance. As you sail towards this Atlantic archipelago, you'll witness Cornwall's most beloved landmarks from a completely unique seaward perspective. Watch for the dramatic cliffs of Land's End, marvel at the incredible Minack Theatre carved into the clifftop and admire the fairy-tale silhouette of St Michael's Mount rising from the sea. Keep your eyes peeled for the incredible wildlife that calls these waters home - playful dolphins dancing in the ferry's wake, curious seals basking on rocky outcrops, colourful puffins diving for fish, and if you're truly fortunate, the magnificent basking sharks and ocean sunfish that grace these pristine waters.

Once you arrive on Scilly's island paradise, glorious days await for you to explore at your own pace. Discover hidden coves with beaches that rival the Caribbean, wander through exotic subtropical gardens that flourish in the Gulf Stream's warmth, or simply relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere of island life where cars are rare and worries seem to melt away.

Everything is taken care of for you... you'll be met on arrival at Scilly's main port of St Mary's, and your luggage transferred to the hotel (less than a 10 minute walk). You'll also have a Two Islands Cruise included and a to visit Tresco Abbey Gardens. Breakfasts are included every morning and dinner also included in Scilly (not on a Wednesday, though!).

Most of all, you have time to explore and enjoy these wonderful islands at your own pace. Getting around is easy. And there are glorious walking opportunities. If you just want to flop and relax, the hotel has its own small pool and the beaches are 2 minutes walk away.

Your return journey includes another comfortable overnight stay and a visit to one of Cornwall's Great Gardens, the perfect finale to your adventure before heading home with memories of Britain's most beautiful secret.

Perfect for nature lovers, garden enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone seeking a truly unique British island experience that feels like a world away from everyday life.

The main island of St Mary’s offers a charming mix of shops, cafés, and coastal walks, while regular boat trips make it easy to hop between islands and discover hidden treasures. Whether you’re seeking adventure, such as kayaking, cycling, or wildlife-spotting, or simply want to relax on the beach and watch the world go by, the Isles of Scilly have something for everyone.

With their unspoilt landscapes, rich history, and welcoming community, the Isles of Scilly are the perfect destination for a truly memorable holiday. From breathtaking sunsets to tranquil strolls along quiet shores, this is a place where you can truly unwind and create unforgettable memories.

Scilly Isles Island Hopping Cruise

Embark on a magical adventure to Tresco, home to one of Britain's most extraordinary gardens and a true jewel in the Isles of Scilly crown. This enchanting day trip takes you across the crystal-clear waters to discover a subtropical paradise where exotic plants from around the world flourish in the Atlantic's gentle embrace.

Your Two Island Cruise includes a scenic crossing from St Mary's, across the turquoise waters of these captivating islands. As you sail towards Tresco, drink in the stunning seascape views and watch for the abundant wildlife that calls these pristine waters home - seals, seabirds, and perhaps even dolphins accompanying your voyage.

Upon arrival at either Carn Near Quay or New Grimsby Quay, you'll discover that Tresco moves at its own peaceful pace - no cars, no rush, just the gentle rhythm of island life. From Carn Near, it's a delightful 10-minute stroll to the world-famous Abbey Garden (entrance included in your holiday price), whilst the longer 30-minute walk from New Grimsby offers spectacular coastal and countryside views that make the journey part of the adventure.

The magnificent Abbey Garden awaits - a 17-acre subtropical paradise where over 20,000 species from 80 countries create a living tapestry of colour and fragrance. Wander through Mediterranean terraces, discover exotic palms from the Canaries, marvel at South African proteas, and explore collections that simply couldn't survive anywhere else in Britain. The garden's unique microclimate, warmed by the Gulf Stream, creates growing conditions so special that plants from five continents flourish side by side.

Take time to explore Tresco's other charms - pristine white sandy beaches, crystal-clear rock pools, and the fascinating Valhalla Museum showcasing figureheads from ships wrecked on these treacherous but beautiful waters.

Perfect for garden enthusiasts, nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking a truly unique island experience that feels like stepping into a tropical paradise without leaving British shores.

Please note: Boat times vary with tides and weather conditions. Listen carefully for return departure information during your crossing, as return boats may depart from a different quay. Come prepared for walking as there's no public transport on the island.
