Itinerary

Day 1

Join your coach this morning and head south west towards the beautiful county of Cornwall, and the stunning seaside resort of Newquay which attracts sun seekers and surfers alike to its fantastic beaches and dramatic waves coming in over the scenic coastline. On arrival at your comfortable hotel you will have time to settle in and relax, perhaps enjoying a drink in the bar (don't forget Happy Hour!) or taking a stroll to the picturesque seafront, before your included evening meal and some fabulous evening entertainment.

Days 2 to 4

Your comfortable central hotel allows you to make the most of your free time to explore your lovely resort and its beautiful location on the north Cornish coast. This laid-back resort offers a mix of beautiful beaches, cliff-top views and seafront shops. Treat yourself to an authentic pasty, ice cream or Cornish Cream Tea. Just make sure you leave room for your evening meal each night. You can enjoy entertainment at the hotel or, if you wish, step out and sample Newquay by night.

Spend all of your time in Newquay as you please, or join us on your two INCLUDED excursions for a true taste of Cornwall. Return to your hotel in the evening for more great food and entertainment every evening PLUS Happy Hour drinks. What's not to love...

Day 5

After a final hearty Cornish breakfast it is time to say farewell to Newquay today, heading homewards with time to relax and suitable stops on the way.

Newquay

It also offers a range of shops, cafés, bars and attractions such as the Blue Reef Aquarium where you will be amazed by the local marine species from the Cornish coast to hundreds of tropical species in the gigantic ocean display, complete with an underwater tunnel.. Take a stroll along the award-winning South West Coast Path and visit some of the many pretty beaches. Newquay’s laid-back charm is here for everyone to enjoy.

Mevagissey

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationNarrow streets and steep valley sides lead down to the centre of the old Mevagissey where the distinctive twin harbour provides a safe haven for the many fishing boats that land their daily catch of skate, lobster, plaice and sole. In typical picture postcard style, pubs, cafes, galleries and shops cluster around the harbour walls and line the pretty streets. Named after two Irish saints, St Meva and St Issey, the village dates back to at least 1313 and during the 1800s Mevagissey prospered on the back of the abundant source of pilchards out to sea. Around the maze of streets you’ll find plenty of seafood restaurants that the village is renowned for and there is nothing more sublimely Cornish than tucking into some local scallops and mackerel!

Falmouth

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationFalmouth is a lovely coastal town renowned for its fascinating maritime heritage. You can visit the multi-award-winning National Maritime Museum Cornwall which houses a huge collection of boats, retells stories of intrepid explorers and provides an observation window on to the bustling harbour. Pendennis Castle is one of the finest fortresses built by Henry VIII and visitors can explore the restored Victorian and WWII defences complete with sounds and smells! Alternatively simply stroll around the harbour, beaches, galleries and shops and enjoy a bite to eat or drink in one of the many eateries.

St Ives & Truro

It’s no wonder then that the town has been attracting artists for decades who come to capture the area’s undeniable natural beauty. It started with J M W Turner and the marine artist Henry Moore who first came to St Ives in the mid-1800s and since then the town has become a magnet for some of the world’s greatest painters, sculptors and ceramicists. If you are looking for more than just a wonderful town, the Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden will satisfy the artist in you.

Cornwall's only city has everything you'd expect from a modern, well connected city but on a human scale - great shopping, great entertainment and a blossoming food and drink scene. Truro's heritage is evident in historic architecture, delightful parks and public spaces but at the same time is contemporary, quirky and unique.  Here vibrant, local independent shops and market traders rub shoulders with the usual national retailers in an eclectic mix with a creative vibe. Truro has a criss-cross of cobbled roads, browsable streets and magical mews, always rewarding for the curious and the unhurried. Rising above it all is the iconic architecture of the cathedral's three spires which is well worth a visit.

Please note: We may need to drop at St Ives coach park where there is a regular and inexpensive shuttle service running the short distance into the town centre (costs not included). Otherwise it is a 10 to 15 minute walk into the centre.  Back to top
