As evening falls, the highlight of the day awaits with a visit to the Sudeley Castle Spectacle of Light. Wander through illuminated gardens and enjoy dazzling light displays that transform the castle grounds into a magical Christmas experience. With twinkling installations, festive music and a truly enchanting atmosphere, it’s a memorable way to embrace the season.

On Sunday, the trip continues with lots of free time for you to enjoy Gloucester along with Gloucester Quays Christmas Market. With a comfortable hotel stay and a lovely mix of festive experiences, this mini break offers a relaxed and atmospheric way to celebrate the season.

Day 1

Settle back and enjoy the scenic journey to pretty Cheltenham where you will have time to explore this historic town on the edge of the Cotswolds. It is then on to magnificant Sudeley Castle to enjoy their stunning Spectacle of Light. Rejoin your coach in the early evening and head on to your comfortable overnight hotel for a late dinner and good night's sleep.

 

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast enjoy lots of free time in Gloucester and Gloucester Quays Christmas Market. Rejoin your coach in the afternoon for the journey home, full of festive good cheer.

Sudeley Castle & Gardens Spectacle Of Light

Sudeley Castle's hugely popular Spectacle of Light is a wonderful illuminated trail around the stunning grounds of Sudeley Castle in The Cotswolds.

Explore this magical after-dark experience and follow the illuminated trail filled with magical light displays.

There is the opportunity to purchase delicious food and drink both at the start and during the trail. Mulled Wine, Hot Chocolate and a variety of hot scrumptious food will be available from the Visitor Centre and on the Castle Terrace. Before you leave, why not treat yourself to a winter warming drink and browse the lovely gift shop for some unique Christmas gifts and souvenirs.

A typical walk will take approximately 60 -75 minutes and to enjoy this outdoor Spectacle to the full, it is important to be warm and dress appropriately. Please wear outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. Entry to the castle is not included.
