Our holiday base is the sunny beachside resort town of Roses, a charming old fishing village overlooking the Bay of Roses and perfectly positioned for an excellent value summer tour by the Mediterranean Sea. The resort is relaxed and friendly and has retained an historic ‘old town’ - picturesque by day, atmospheric during the evenings.
Spend your days in the sun, around the hotel pool or on the beach, take a stroll along the delightful palm-lined promenade, or sit back in a café and take in the atmosphere... simply lovely...!! You will have lots of time to relax and explore on your own whilst having the opportunity to join us on our included excursions to see more of this wonderful region. These include a full day visit to the bustling city of Barcelona, the Catalan capital and home to amazing architecture and spectacular shopping opportunities.
Overnight hotels on the outward and return journey will be conveniently located on our route on a bed and breakfast basis.

Itinerary
Day 1
Join your comfortable coach at any of our convenient local pick up points and start off on your fabulous Spanish adventure as you head for Dover and your channel crossing to France. Continue on to your first overnight hotel, stopping en route to pick up some dinner, before arriving and checking in for a good night's sleep.Day 2
After a good rest and tasty breakfast, rejoin your coach for the drive down through France into Spain. We expect to arrive at our hotel in Roses late afternoon and in good time for your first taste of Spain at dinner. Unpack, relax and unwind before dinner before enjoying supper and an opportunity to mingle with your fellow travellers.Days 3 - 7
Enjoy hearty buffet breakfasts every morning that are guaranteed to set you up for whatever your day holds. You can sunbathe on some of the most attractive and least crowded beaches of the Costa Brava, or we can explore the old town of Roses. Those wishing for a quiet day can enjoy the facilities at the hotel including the swimming pool and garden.Spend all of your time in and around Roses or to experience some more of this wonderful region, don't miss out on our INCLUDED excursions. We have a full day visit to Barcelona, one of Europe's favourite cities, whilst the pretty villages of Figueres, Cadaques and Besalu are full of charm and hidden surprises.
Return to the hotel every evening for dinner and an opportunity to share your experiences.
Day 8
After a final tasty breakfast it is time to bid farewell to the Costa Brava and Spain as you board your coach and head to your overnight hotel in France, once again stopping en route for you to grab supper. Check in to your comfortable hotel and enjoy a final night in Europe before the final leg of your journey home.Day 9
Enjoy another good breakfast before heading back to Calais and your return crossing back to the UK. As you the head back home through England, there will be plenty of time to reflect on the holiday memories you are bringing home with you - and maybe a few souvenirs?Tour Includes

Figueres

The Dalí Theatre-Museum, housed in a whimsical and surreal building designed by Dalí himself, is a true homage to his life and work with an astonishing collection of paintings, sculptures, and installations that showcase the eccentric genius of the artist.
The old town of Figueres is a charming maze of narrow streets, picturesque squares, and historic buildings. Cadaques

This easternmost point in Spain was home to Savador Dalí and was also a favourite haunt of renowned artists Picasso and Matisse. Often described as one of the Mediterranean's most charming and unspoiled destinations, this enchanting coastal town combines natural beauty, artistic heritage and Catalan charm. It is renowned for its stunning seaside setting, with crystal-clear waters that beckon sunbathers and swimmers alike. The main beach, Platja de Cadaqués, offers a tranquil spot to unwind and soak in the Mediterranean sun.
The town itself is a picturesque maze of narrow streets, whitewashed buildings, and vibrant bougainvillea-covered facades. The charming Old Town, with its historic church, Santa Maria, and quaint squares, exudes an authentic Mediterranean ambiance. Stroll through the cobblestone streets, explore local boutiques, and savour traditional Catalan cuisine at the town's excellent restaurants.
The journey to Cadaqués itself is quite spectacular, along a winding road through the hills, with stunning views over the coastline and the Gulf of Roses.
For further information, click here. Please note: some of Cadaqués may be difficult to access for those with reduced mobility, as there are many ups and downs and the old town has a cobbled stone pavement. The Dalí House-Museum is also not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Besalu
Discover the enchanting town of Besalú, nestled in the heart of Catalonia, Spain. This 3-star superior hotel enjoys a fantastic setting right on the beach front, just 2 km from the centre of Roses. All ensuite bedrooms have a balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, satellite TV and hairdryer. The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool and a pleasant garden area where guests can relax and enjoy views of the Costa Brava. There is a good restaurant and bar, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to suit all guests. There is also a spa with an indoor pool, whirlpool bath, sauna, gym and beauty treatments (charges apply).
