Stratford-upon-Avon

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationStratford-upon-Avon is best known as the birthplace of England’s most famous bard, William Shakespeare. It is a pretty historic market town situated on the banks of the River Avon and a popular tourist destination attracting over three million visitors a year. With its beautiful surroundings, wide range of tourist attractions and great shopping, it’s not hard to see why this town is such a hit with coach trip visitors.

Delve into the Bard's life and legacy with a visit to Shakespeare's Birthplace. Take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque streets of the town centre, adorned with charming Tudor buildings, and visit the historic Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare is buried. For a scenic perspective, embark on a tranquil River Avon cruise, meandering through the picturesque countryside and passing by some of the town's most iconic landmarks. The historic Garrick Inn is one of the towns oldest buildings, dating back to the 16th century, though some parts of this traditional half-timbered building may be as old as the 14th century, and has witnessed centuries of stories, including tales of the plague!

Cotswolds Villages including Broadway

INCLUDED Visitor Destination

The world famous Cotswolds are the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England, covering nearly 800 square miles over 5 counties. You are sure to fall in love with the honey-coloured stone, quaint villages and lively market towns and rolling hills, the ‘wolds’ themselves.

Often referred to as the 'Jewel of the Cotswolds', beautiful and historic Broadway is a memorable place to visit with its pretty High Street lined with horse chestnut trees and mixture of period houses and picturesque honey coloured Cotswold stone cottages which have lured visitors for centuries. It is a real pleasure to browse the cute shops and tea rooms. Perhaps pay a visit to the lovely Lygon Arms Hotel and snuggle by the fire with a tasty treat. It is intriguing to think that, during the Civil War, Oliver Cromwell actually spent the night before the Battle of Worcester here, while King Charles Ihad previously used the building to meet and rally his royalist supporters.

Snowshill Manor

The National Trust’s Snowshill Manor in the Cotswolds is a fascinating and memorable place to explore.

This charming manor house, once the home of architect and collector Charles Wade, is filled with an extraordinary collection of treasures from around the world. Each room is packed with curiosities, from antique toys and musical instruments to costumes and artwork, all carefully displayed to capture the imagination.

Outside, the beautifully designed gardens offer a peaceful contrast, with terraces, orchards, and vibrant borders that provide plenty of places to wander and relax. Nestled in the heart of the Cotswold countryside, Snowshill Manor combines history, creativity, and natural beauty, making it a wonderful stop for anyone looking to discover something unique and inspiring during their visit.
