Enjoy this fabulous midweek break showcasing some of the best South Devon resorts, towns and scenery. Based at ther excellent Cavendish Hotel in Exmouth, which offers great entertainment on at least 2 nights each week, we will whisk you away to some of the prettiest resorts on the South Devon coast. These include Sidmouth, Seaton and pretty Paignton. We'll also take you into historic Exeter where you can spend some time exploring and enjoying this lovely cathedral city.

Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning at your convenient local pick-up point and head south west towards the glamourous English Riviera! On arrival in your resort of Exmouth there will be plenty of time to settle in and enjoy a seaside stroll before dinner - your hotel is ideally situated directly opposite the seafront and a short walk from the town centre. Enjoy a drink in the bar to meet friends and fellow travellers, and make sure you have worked up an appetite to enjoy your evening meal.

Days 2 to 4

Your comfortable central hotel allows you to make the most of your free time to explore this lovely resort, from the long accessible beachfront and promenade to the traditional pier, colourful beach huts and amusements there is plenty to entertain you. The seafront and town centre are equally close to your excellent hotel. Maybe try some great fish & chips or ice cream on the pier - just make sure you leave room for your delicious evening meals, which are followed by great entertainment on some evenings.

Day 5

After a final hearty Devon breakfast it is time to say farewell to the English Riviera today. Relax on board your comfortable coach as you head first to Exeter for some more free time before continuing homewards with lovely memories of new experiences, friends and beautiful places.

Paignton

It’s a superb holiday haven for people of all ages. Paignton is part of the UNESCO accredited English Riviera Global Geopark recognising its extraordinary natural beauty and heritage. There's plenty to do here all-year-round with a huge number of indoor and outdoor attractions. Don’t miss Devon’s 18th century Paignton Harbour, a real maritime gem with a bevy of boats, a historic harbour wall plus delightful restaurants and cafes where you can sample the famous local fish or try some tapas. This is England’s Seafood Coast with delicious fresh fish coming in daily from nearby Brixham. Tucked away behind Paignton Harbour is Fairy Cove a hidden Devon beach to discover. You’ll also love the gardens at nearby Roundham Head with its jaw-dropping views and access to Goodrington Sands, another spectacular beach.

Seaton & Sidmouth

This charming seaside town has been a popular holiday destination since Victorian times and is is home to stunning gardens overlooking Lyme Bay. With its mile-long beach and the South West Coast Path and Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve within walking distance, Seaton’s beautiful scenery and natural environment are a joy to explore. A pedestrianised town centre full of independent shops and cafes, together with the popular Seaton Tramway (generally main season visits only), means there is plenty to see and do!

Sidmouth is a beautiful coastal town with a Regency feel which is ideal for visitors of all ages. Set in the middle of spectacular countryside, Sidmouth is home to beautiful beaches, stylish eating places and great shopping, with everything from unusual gifts, designer clothing and lifestyle goods available. Situated on the Jurassic Coast, its coastline is dominated by the vivid red sandstone cliffs which date back to the Triassic period. It is a great town for walking, be it a gentle stroll along the seafront or a more energetic climb up the stunning rocks. Make sure you also take some time to explore the town centre, rich in royal and architectural history, as well as discovering a great range of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Exeter

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationAs the county town of Devon, Exeter is a vibrant, modern city with a historical past pre-dating the Romans. If you’re in need of a spot of retail therapy Exeter’s Princesshay offers a contemporary mixture of shopping, leisure and restaurants all within walking distance of beautiful Exeter Cathedral. It has an eclectic mix of global High Street brands, mixed in with local one of a kind boutiques – a shopper’s paradise.

You could also explore the Historic Quayside, just a ten-minute walk from the cathedral, and take a stroll along the canal past quaint antique shops, art exhibitions, local bars and lively waterside restaurants. Back to top
