Shanklin & Victoria's Isle Of Wight With Osborne House
5 days
CU4ABC
Enjoy a fabulous stay on one of the UK's most popular holiday islands. In the 19th century, Queen Victoria brought her court and wealthy Victorians to the Isle of Wight. The Queen’s annual holidays transformed this quiet island into the much-visited destination it is today, and it's not hard to see why. More than half the Isle of Wight is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With spectacular scenery and a rich royal heritage, the island has plenty to offer all year round.
We'll whisk you away and over the water on the short crossing from the mainland to the charming Ocean View Hotel in its prime cliff top location overlooking pretty Sandown Bay. With fantastic facilities including a sprung dance floor, games room, indoor heated swimming pool and entertainment on at least one evening, you are also within easy reach of Shanklin town centre, old village and lovely seafront. Shanklin blends picture-postcard thatched cottages with traditional seaside charm. Stroll along the golden blue flag beaches or discover the beauty of Shanklin Chine, filled with rare plants, wildlife and enchanting waterfalls.
You can have plenty of time to explore on your own or join our included excursions to experience some of the best the island has to offer.
"It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot" said Queen Victoria of Osborne House, her palatial holiday home on the Isle of Wight, and you can discover why on our included visit. We'll also take you to the Isle of Wight’s largest town Ryde which has boutique and independent shops and cafes set on an expanse of sandy beach, along with a scenic "Round the Island" excursion taking in some of the island's highlights.
An ideal choice for:
* Anyone looking for a chance to explore the best of the Isle of Wight
* Traditional seaside lovers looking for a relaxing break
* Picture perfect settings and scenery
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
