Paignton Summer Weekend

Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning at your convenient local pick-up point and head south west towards the glamourous English Riviera! On arrival in your resort of Paignton there will be plenty of time to settle in and enjoy a seaside stroll before dinner - your central hotel is ideally situated a short walk from the town centre and seafront. Enjoy a drink in the bar to meet friends and fellow travellers, and make sure you have worked up an appetite to enjoy your evening meal, followed by some great entertainment.

Days 2 & 3

Your comfortable central hotel allows you to make the most of your free time to explore your lovely resort, from the long accessible beachfront and promenade to the traditional pier, colourful beach huts and amusements there is plenty to entertain you. The seafront and town centre are equally close to your excellent hotel. Maybe try some great fish & chips or ice cream on the pier - just make sure you leave room for your delicious evening meals, which are followed by great entertainment every night.

Make sure you don't miss your two INCLUDED excursions to explore the very best of south Devon. If you prefer, take a day off and do as you please in Paignton. Whatever you choose, this is a super seaside weekend to remember and it is bound to make you fall in love with Devon (if you haven't already) - just make sure you indulge in a traditional Cream Tea, the ultimate Devon treat!

Day 4

After a final delicious Devon breakfast it is time to say farewell to the English Riviera today, as you join your coach and travel home, with time to relax and share your happy memories with your newly made friends and fellow travellers.

Paignton

Don’t miss Devon’s 18th century Paignton Harbour, a real maritime gem with a bevy of boats, a historic harbour wall plus delightful restaurants and cafes where you can sample the famous local fish or try some tapas. This is England’s Seafood Coast with delicious fresh fish coming in daily from nearby Brixham. Tucked away behind Paignton Harbour is Fairy Cove a hidden Devon beach to discover. You’ll also love the gardens at nearby Roundham Head with its jaw-dropping views and access to Goodrington Sands, another spectacular beach.

Dartmouth

You have to go a long way to find a town as pretty as Dartmouth. Overlooking one of the finest natural harbours in the UK, Dartmouth has a strong maritime heritage with the iconic Royal Naval College set on a hill overlooking the town. You will find a host of narrow lanes, stairways and corridors, and historical streets to explore. The town has fine restaurants, as well as arts, antiques and craft shops just about everywhere. The Greenway Ferry takes visitors across the river to the world famous home of Agatha Christie, who so loved this area. You are bound to fall in love with Dartmouth too!

Seaton & Sidmouth

Seaton - Traditional Seaside Fun Just along the coast, Seaton offers a more traditional seaside experience with family-friendly attractions and genuine coastal charm. The highlight is undoubtedly the Seaton Tramway, a delightful narrow-gauge railway that winds through the beautiful Axe Valley, offering spectacular countryside views and a unique way to explore the area. Seaton's pebble beach and welcoming promenade provide classic seaside experiences, whilst the town centre offers everything from traditional fish and chips to local crafts and souvenirs. Back to top
