Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning at your convenient local pick-up point and head south west towards the glamourous English Riviera! We stop in the historic city of Exeter with its picture perfect Christmas Market set on its beautiful cathedral green, the bustling quayside and great shopping opportunities.

On arrival in your resort of Paignton there will be plenty of time to settle in and enjoy a seaside stroll before dinner - your central hotel is ideally situated a short walk from the town centre and seafront. Enjoy a drink in the bar to meet friends and fellow travellers, and make sure you have worked up an appetite to enjoy your evening meal, followed by some great festive entertainment.

Days 2 & 3

Your comfortable central hotel allows you to make the most of your free time to explore your lovely resort, from the long accessible beachfront and promenade to the traditional pier, colourful beach huts and amusements there is plenty to entertain you. The seafront and town centre are equally close to your excellent hotel. Maybe try some great fish & chips on the pier or indulge in a traditional Cream Tea, the ultimate Devon treat! - just make sure you leave room for your delicious festive evening meals, which are followed by great entertainment every night.

Day 4

After a final hearty breakfast it is time to say farewell to Devon today, and join your comfortable coach with time to relax as you head homewards.

Don’t miss Devon’s 18th century Paignton Harbour, a real maritime gem with a bevy of boats, a historic harbour wall plus delightful restaurants and cafes where you can sample the famous local fish or try some tapas. This is England’s Seafood Coast with delicious fresh fish coming in daily from nearby Brixham. Tucked away behind Paignton Harbour is Fairy Cove a hidden Devon beach to discover. You’ll also love the gardens at nearby Roundham Head with its jaw-dropping views and access to Goodrington Sands, another spectacular beach.

Plymouth Christmas Market

Browse to your heart’s content as more than 50 traders from across the South West will be selling their wares in traditional wooden cabins, festooned with fairy lights. Pick up unique gifts for friends and family, with everything from handmade jewellery and artwork to sweet treats to choose from. Warm up with a mulled wine from the Bavarian Bar and tuck into festive food from one of the many street food stands. With live music and entertainment, it’s the perfect place to pick up some Christmas gifts and get into the Christmas spirit. Situated in the heart of Plymouth City Centre, the Christmas market is located in the Piazza, just a short walk from Drake Circus Shopping Centre and the Barbican with its historic cobbled streets and wide range of restaurants, cafes, antique and gift shops. Situated on a level position, directly opposite Paignton seafront and a short walk to the town centre, you couldn’t ask for a better location on the English Riviera. The Marine hotel is airy, modern and light yet highly comfortable with a warm and friendly family atmosphere. All bedrooms are equipped with a hair dryer, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Sit back and relax in one of the comfy chairs situated in the wrap around conservatory which enjoys panoramic views of the Bay.

Please note: There are four floors to the hotel. A lift goes to all four floors but some do still require a few stairs after the lift. Sea views are on request at a supplement but they do have 5 steps down and 5 steps up to access them. Should you have any specific mobility requirements (i.e. must have level access to the lift etc) please advise us on booking.
