Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning and head for the 'city of dreaming spires' named for the beautiful university buildings that dominate the Oxford skyline. This stunning city is yours to explore at leisure. Whether you are a history buff and disappear into the amazing Ashmolean Museum (England's oldest and a day out in itself), follow in the footsteps of Alice in Wonderland or Harry Potter at Christchurch College, take a gentle punt along the river, explore the Castle or have lunch in the jail, an amazing experience awaits. You may just want to browse the great shopping and eating opportunities this world famous city has to offer. Late this afternoon rejoin your coach as you head for your comfortable hotel in Reading, which is ideally located in the town centre. Either simply relax at the hotel or your central location allows you to stay out as late as you like making the most of all the town has to offer including great food and drink.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, we travel to the royal town of Windsor. On arrival, enjoy time to shop, sightsee and have something to eat. Maybe take a cruise on the Thames, visit famous Windsor Castle or walk over the footbridge to discover Eton. Rejoin your coach later in the afternoon to head back to our hotel in Reading.

Day 3

After a filling breakfast, leave your comfortable hotel this morning and head for another inspirational city in beautiful Bath. Whether you choose to get lost in Austen, sample a Sally Lunn Bunn (the recipe hasn't changed since 1680), take afternoon tea and the waters in the elegant Pump Room, see the Roman Baths or take your own modern day rooftop bath in the modern thermal waters (bring your costume - we so recommend it) the city has this and so much more in the most lovely mellow stone walled streets that are a delight to wander. Time really does stand still here. Rejoin your coach this afternoon and relax as you head homewards with amazing memories and no doubt a little shopping!

Oxford

INCLUDED Visitor Destination
Oxford, The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its University and place in history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars, and since the 9th Century an established town, although people are known to have lived in the area for thousands of years. Take time to discover the history and heritage of Oxford, home to 1,500 listed buildings from every major period of British architectural history from the 11th Century onwards. The centre looks like an enchanted fairy-tale city – making Oxford is a firm favourite of filmmakers from all over the world, from Harry Potter to Inspector Morse along with having inspired countless famous writers over the centuries. Oxford is flat and compact, with many of its major attractions, including the University of Oxford and its 38 colleges, Bodleian Library, the museums, and Oxford Castle Unlocked right in the centre – perfect to explore on foot.

Windsor

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationThe beautiful, ancient royal town of Windsor, is situated on the River Thames with a rich history, dominated by Windsor Castle, one of the most iconic residences of the British Royal Family. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th century, the castle was extensively remodelled by subsequent monarchs and remains one of the most impressive historic buildings in the country. The castle itself is surrounded by a warren of small streets offering a wonderful range of boutiques, shops, bars, cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy along with the impressive 5,000 acres of gardens that make up Windsor Great Park, and offers some lovely walking routes or maybe even a relaxing boat ride along the River Thames.

Bath

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationBuilt for pleasure and relaxation, beautiful Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. The waters are still a big draw, both at the ancient Roman Baths and the thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. The compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain. Immerse yourself in Bath’s remarkable collection of museums and galleries, while admiring Bath's stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture that is straight from a Jane Austen novel. For a special treat enjoy the grandeur of the world-famous Pump Room for afternoon tea, and a sample of the healing Bath waters taken by the city's famous residents for hundreds of years. For something simpler but just as historic try a delicious Sally Lunn Bunn served in the famous eating house or to take away, made to the same recipe since 1680!
