Itinerary
Day 1
Day 2-4
This Victorian seaside resort is known as the jewel in the north Devon coast. Discover a quaint quayside and harbour, whitewashed villas, lovely beaches, coastal paths. Why not visit the stunning Tunnel Beaches, hand carved in the 1820’s (by 100's of Welsh miners), providing a truly unique experience of sheltered beaches and Victorian tidal bathing pool (admission is around £3.75 (no cash taken)). There is also an abundance of shops and cafés where you could treat yourself to a delicious Devon Cream tea! Whatever you do, just make sure you leave room for your evening meals, which are followed by great entertainment on most evenings.
You can spend all of your time in and around this gorgeous resort or join our INCLUDED excursions to experience some of the beauty that the region has to offer. Return to the hotel every evening for more great food and entertainment (on at least 2 nights).
Day 5

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationNestled alongside the River Torridge, the ancient market town and port of Bideford has a delightful setting for a visit. Once Britain’s third largest port, Bideford is a thriving shopping centre with an historic Pannier Market and many antique shops and cafes amongst the narrow backstreets and alleyways that lead up from the quay. The tree-lined quay offers a lovely scene at any time of year or you can head over the historic stone bridge to join the beautiful Tarka Trail and enjoy the views over the river and surrounding countryside.Ilfracombe plus Cliffs & Caves Cruise
Spend some lovely free time in Ilfracombe, often called the jewel of the North Devon coast. You'll be charmed by the whitewashed buildings, grand Victorian villas, and wonderfully cosmopolitan atmosphere of this delightful seaside resort.The highlight of today is our included Cliffs & Caves cruise from the harbour. Sit back and soak up the breathtaking scenery of Exmoor National Park, home to some of Britain's highest cliffs including the spectacular Great Hangman at 1,043ft! Keep your eyes peeled for nesting seabirds, and you might even spot playful dolphins and seals. Don't forget your binoculars!
Clovelly
The picturesque, ancient, fishing village of Clovelly is uniquely special and was once owned by the Queen of England. From Elizabethan days until today, Clovelly has been in private ownership, which has helped preserve its original atmosphere.
Clinging to a 400 foot cliff, it has no vehicular traffic, just donkeys and sledges. Its steep, cobbled street tumbles its way down to the ancient fishing harbour and C14th quay. It is a descent through flower-strewn cottages broken only by little passageways and winding lanes that lead off to offer the prospect of further picturesque
