Join us on this wonderful trip to explore the spectacular coast of north Devon & Cornwall along with some of it's most special places.
 
You'll stay in the harbour town of Ilfracombe with its picturesque sandy beaches, clear waters and resort attractions. This Devon seaside favourite sits amongst a magnificent coastline with Damien Hirst’s Verity statue contrasting with the quaint pastel houses along the seafront. Ilfracombe really has something for everyone with stunning beaches, an attractive historic harbour, the famous beach tunnels, alfresco drinking and dining opportunities, independent shops as well as a thriving art gallery scene. Make sure to take a boat trip from the harbour along the spectacular coast, go seal watching or even dolphin spotting.

You'll stay at the Imperial Hotel, set in a prime location overlooking the beach and a short walk to Ilfracombe's shops and harbour. The hotel has a bar and dance-floor, dinners are 3-course, and breakfast is full English (bacon, sausage, eggs etc). There's entertainment on most nights at the hotel, so you'll not have to venture far for a bit of music and fun. You'll have a day at leisure to discover the town at your own pace (don't forget to do that boat trip!), as well as two fabulous included excursions to explore the Devon & Cornish coasts along with some of their most picturesque towns and villages.

You'll see lush rolling countryside, the wild beauty of Exmoor National Park as well as taking the stunning Atlantic Highway into Cornwall with visits to the beach resort of Bude and a stop in Barnstable.

Itinerary

Day 1

Join your coach this morning, and head south and into Devon. On arrival at your hotel there is time to settle in, perhaps relax with a drink in the bar, or take a breath of sea air, before you enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 2-4

Your comfortable hotel Ilfracombe allows you to make the most of your free time to explore its beautiful location on the north Devon coast.

This Victorian seaside resort is known as the jewel in the north Devon coast. Discover a quaint quayside and harbour, whitewashed villas, lovely beaches, coastal paths. Why not visit the stunning Tunnel Beaches, hand carved in the 1820’s (by 100's of Welsh miners), providing a truly unique experience of sheltered beaches and Victorian tidal bathing pool (admission is around £3.75 (no cash taken)). There is also an abundance of shops and cafés where you could treat yourself to a delicious Devon Cream tea! Whatever you do, just make sure you leave room for your evening meals, which are followed by great entertainment on most evenings.

You can spend all of your time in and around this gorgeous resort or join our INCLUDED excursions to experience some of the beauty that the region has to offer. Return to the hotel every evening for more great food and entertainment.

Day 5

After a final hearty breakfast it is time to say farewell to Ilfracombe today. Board your comfortable coach for a relaxing journey home with suitable stops on the way.

Exmoor & North Devon Coast Drive

Minehead

Minehead, a charming coastal town located in Somerset, England, known for its scenic views of the and its sandy beach. The town is a popular tourist destination, featuring the historic West Somerset Railway and the scenic Exmoor National Park nearby. Minehead boasts a vibrant town centre with a mix of independent shops, cafes, and traditional pubs.

North Cornwall Coastal Drive to Bude with Barnstaple

After breakfast, set off along the scenic North Cornwall coast towards Bude. The drive offers breathtaking views of rugged landscapes and the Atlantic Ocean. Upon arriving in Bude, explore its sandy beaches and take a walk along the South West Coast Path to admire the dramatic cliffs. After lunch in one of Bude’s cozy cafés, continue your journey inland towards Barnstaple. This historic market town offers a blend of culture and shopping. Stroll through the Pannier Market, visit the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon, or enjoy a riverside walk along the River Taw before continuing back to your hotel.
