There is nothing like a mid-winter walk along the beach to blow away the cobwebs and on this break you'll get plenty of chance to explore iconic Torquay at your leisure. For those who wish to explore further afield, we have also included an excursion along the coast for some time to discover the charms of nearby Brixham and Dartmouth.
In the evenings, join everyone at the Show Bar for a fantastic night of Tribute Act entertainment, with an amazing New Year's Eve party to see the New Year in in style!

Itinerary
Day 1
Join your coach this morning, and head towards the lovely English Riviera and your resort of Torquay, with convenient coffee/lunch stops along the way. On arrival at the Riviera Hotel there is time to settle in and relax before your first delicious dinner and night of festive entertainment. Perhaps take a time for a seafront stroll first, or a drink in the bar to meet your fellow travellers.
Days 2 & 3
Enjoy tasty traditional English breakfasts each day along with free time to explore the lovely resort of Torquay. Make sure you have room for your delicious evening meals which are followed by fantastic live entertainment - and of course your amazing New Year's Eve party.
Spend all of your time in Torquay or join us on our INCLUDED excursion on New Year's Eve along the famous Devon coast to Brixham and Dartmouth. We return to the hotel with time to get ready ahead of tonight’s celebrations
Day 4
Enjoy a leisurely final hearty breakfast before we say farewell to the English Riviera today. Board your coach with time to relax as you head homewards with a suitable stop on the way subject to weather conditions.Torquay

With its iconic palm trees, busy harbour, beautiful marina, sandy beach and wonderful array of cafes, bars & restaurants, there is something new to enjoy and discover during each visit. Grab a bucket and spade for a day at the beach, wander into town to enjoy an array of brand and independent shops or just take a stroll and marvel at the unique beauty that Torquay's gardens, seafront and walks provide. Don't forget, if you fancy a bit more sightseeing, Torquay's marina offers a wide selection of boat trips, allowing you the opportunity to discover the English Riviera Coastline by sea. The covered Fleet Walk and Union Square in Torquay offer an eclectic mix of high street and independent stores, whatever the weather. A Street & Craft Market is also held on Union Street every Thursday and Saturday all year round with a variety of stalls from local businesses. Brixham & Dartmouth
The attractive fishing harbour of Brixham is fringed with a tumble of colourful fisher cottages on the surrounding hillsides. Explore the winding streets, where you can browse the unique gift and craft shops, enjoy some locally caught seafood or just relax and take in the views at the harbour cafes. And don’t forget to visit the famous replica of Sir Francis Drake’s iconic ship, The Golden Hind, which has docked in Brixham for over 50 years.You have to go a long way to find a town as pretty as Dartmouth. Overlooking one of the finest natural harbours in the UK, Dartmouth has a strong maritime heritage with the iconic Royal Naval College set on a hill overlooking the town. You will find a host of narrow lanes, stairways and corridors, and historical streets to explore. The town has fine restaurants, as well as arts, antiques and craft shops just about everywhere. The Greenway Ferry takes visitors across the river to the world famous home of Agatha Christie, who so loved this area. You are bound to fall in love with Dartmouth too!

Riviera Hotel Torquay
The Riviera Hotel in the heart of Torquay is the perfect place to enjoy good food, comfortable bedrooms, cabaret entertainment, superb indoor pool* and friendly customer service. Its great location is just a few minutes’ walk from Torquay’s award winning beaches, sparkling blue sea and all that the resort has to offer. The accommodation comprises 140 well-appointed bedrooms with tea & coffee making facilities and all Leisuretime guests will be accommodated in upgraded bedrooms** when staying for 2 nights or more on selected dates! Enjoy free entertainment to suit all ages on most evenings, including bingo, quizzes, professional cabarets and dancing in the fabulous Show Bar. The Sports Bar boasts numerous large screen TVs showing different sports events all day. WiFi is available in public areas. Meals are self-service buffet style and assistance is available if required.
There are no ground floor bedrooms however there is a lift, although some rooms still have steps to access. Unfortunately, the nature and age of the building means that the hotel cannot easily accommodate guests in wheelchairs, using mobility scooters or with limited mobility so please contact us if you have any concerns in this respect prior to booking.
Single rooms have a £5 per night supplement and are usually smaller rooms with single beds and are available on request. Single travellers paying a larger supplement will be in a double room for sole occupancy.
