Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach at your convenient local pick up point this morning, and head to the south coast for your short ferry crossing to the lovely Isle of Wight. On arrival at your hotel in the popular resort of Sandown, there will be time to settle in and perhaps take a stroll for a breath of sea air along the pretty prom. Make sure you have time for a drink in the bar to meet new friends before enjoying your first evening meal.

Days 2-3

Your centrally located hotel makes the typical Victorian seaside resort of Sandown easy to explore. It may be a bit chilly for a paddle but perhaps take a stroll on the sandy beach or Esplanade. If you have a wander along Sandown Bay you could find a very special old souvenir with the island having one of the highest concentrations of dinosaur fossils anywhere in the world! Sit on the prom and watch the world go by or simply unwind in one of the tea rooms or enjoy a glass of Cider in one of the traditional pubs.

Enjoy delicious evening meals along with festive entertainment most evenings, plus a special New Year's Eve Party! You can spend all of your time in and around Sandown doing your own thing or join our INCLUDED excursion on New Years Eve as we head out on a circular highlights tour of the island, which boasts 60 miles of spectacular coastline and stunning scenery. We will take in plenty of the magnificent views and famous sights that this fabulous isle has to offer before arriving in the Islands capital of Newport, located in the centre of the Island and often referred to as its capital. This historic town centres on two elegant squares with Georgian and Victorian architecture surrounding them, with the town’s quay a short distance away plus a wealth of independent shops.

Day 4

After our final hearty breakfast today it is time to say farewell to the Isle of Wight as we board our comfortable coach for the last time. We head back to East Cowes for the return ferry to the Mainland before a relaxing onward journey home, full of lovely memories and excitement for the year of travels ahead.
