2020 - Fairfield Manor Hotel - 4 Days - (OML4501)

Celebrate New Year in an 18th century Georgian Manor House!

Our lovely hotel is set in private grounds on the outskirts of the historic walled city of York and the banks of the River Ouse is an ideal base for this fabulous New Year break.

York has an incredible wealth of things to see and do, with the ancient walled centre offering more attractions per square mile than any other destination in the UK. As one of Europe's largest pedestrian zones, you’re never more than a short walk from one of York's awe inspiring sights or attractions.

Still encircled by its ancient walls, York was one of the great cities of the medieval world. The city is dominated by the soaring pinnacles of York Minster, the finest Gothic church in northern Europe. From narrow streets, lively with chic cafés and specialist shops, to trips on its tree-lined river, York is a ‘treasure house’ for visitors. Its unrivalled choice of museums and galleries include the renowned Jorvik Viking Centre, National Railway Museum and Castle Museum, with its collection of sights and sounds from a bygone age...

Why not shop on the Shambles - believed to be the oldest shopping street in Europe; or even try out the the city’s Historic Toilet Tour! And did you know that the International Ghost Research Foundation says that York is officially the most haunted city in Europe.

We have 3 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast, Bucks Fizz reception, a Gala Dinner on New Year's Eve, entertainment and glass of Champagne to toast the New Year. We will have a day to explore York itself and an excursion across the Moors and out to Whitby on the coast.
