Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach at your convenient pick up point this morning, and head for Wales. We will drive through the stunning Brecon Beacons and you will have the opportunity to enjoy a scneic canal cruise before heading on to your comfortable hotel. Check in, relax and enjoy a tasty evening meal before retiring for a good night's sleep.

Day 2

After a hearty Welsh breakfast, head out with us on a tour of the stunning Elan Valley up to Aberystwyth. We've engaged an expert Ranger to accompany you today so that you get the most from your day out. We return to your hotel for your evening meal and then perhaps relax in the hotel bar with a drink?

Day 3

Enjoy a final tasty breakfast this morning, we check out and head home, but not before you have the opportunity to enjoy a ride on the scenic Brecon Mountain Railway. What a weekend!

The Brecon Beacons are one of Wales' greatest national parks and an area of truly outstanding natural beauty. As you travel through its stunning landscape, marvel at the gifts that nature has bestowed on this region. You'll also enjoy a scenic canal boat trip which will give you an altogether different perspective on this beautiful area.

Elan Valley Scenic Tour with Ranger Guide

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationThe Elan Valley is just 3 miles from Rhayader on the southern edge of the Cambrian Mountains in Mid Wales. It covers an area over 72 square miles, making up 1% of the whole of Wales and is designated as an International Dark Sky Park. The area is famous for its spectacular dams and Victorian architecture and there is a large Visitor Centre which is a great starting point for your visit to learn about this beautiful area.

The centre's team of Rangers carry out practical nature conservation work, as well as helping the many visitors to the Elan Estate to enjoy and appreciate the countryside and its wildlife. Rangers have put up more than 300 nest-boxes for Pied Flycatchers, Redstarts, Tits and Tawny Owls as well as 50 bat-boxes. You will get so much more from your scenic tour with a Ranger on board to give you some first hand knowledge and information, bringing the valley to life

Brecon Mountain Railway

The Brecon Mountain Railway offers a captivating journey through the stunning landscapes of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Starting from Pant and travelling up to Torpantau, this scenic steam railway ride showcases picturesque views of lush valleys, serene reservoirs, and the majestic peaks of the Brecon Beacons. Ideal for families and history enthusiasts, the railway combines vintage charm with breathtaking scenery, providing a unique way to experience the natural beauty of the Welsh countryside.

Commodore Hotel & Spa Llandrindod Wells
