Join us on this lovely long weekend break taking in two amazing, world-famous cities in the North West of England – vibrant and cosmopolitan Manchester and Liverpool. Each is packed with culture, fun and interest. Known for their influence on the histories of music and industry, both also boast rejuvenated waterfronts and offer a multitude of shopping and entertainment so there’s plenty to see and do! You'll be staying at the lovely 4* Mercure Haydock which is ideally located as a base from which to visit both of them.
Some of the greatest musicians of the last century were born and raised in the North West’s music cities including The Smiths, Joy Division, Oasis, and of course not forgetting the Fab Four, The Beatles! Hear the stories, sing the songs, and see the sights on our included guided coach tours where you can soak in the history and culture before having free time to explore and enjoy these great cities however you see fit.

Itinerary
Day 1
After joining your coach at your convenient local pickup point, sit back and relax as we head north with suitable stops on the way before arriving at your hotel with time to settle in before your included dinner.
Days 2-3
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel every morning before enjoying our INCLUDED excursions to Liverpool and Manchester with guided coach tours to highlight the rich musical history of both cities followed by free time to do your own thing.
We return to your 4* hotel every evening for dinner and a natter with your fellow travellers.
Day 4
Enjoy a final hearty breakfast before rejoining your coach for the homeward journey, full of great memories.

The 4-star Mercure Haydock Hotel is set in a traditional Georgian mansion-style building, built around a central courtyard. The hotel is surrounded by its own beautifully landscaped grounds, making it a great option for those looking to unwind. The hotel is home to enjoy the Bistro-style Beechers restaurant, which serves contemporary European cuisine in elegant yet laid back surroundings. The Lounge and Conservatory bar offers an impressive selection of drinks and light refreshments. Bedrooms are a good size with ensuite facilities, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a flat screen TV. The hotel does not have a lift but a number of ground floor rooms are available on request. Please advise of any requirements at the time of booking.
