Join us on this fascinating trip and enjoy visits to three of Britain's most iconic attractions whilst staying in an equally fascinating 4-star hotel.

On this great short break, you can explore the world famous Bletchley Park to discover the incredible achievements of Britain's World War Two Codebreakers, in the place where it happened. This is the birthplace of modern technology and of course Alan Turing's groundbreaking Enigma machine. We will also whisk you to the incredible Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will be free to wander through both the palace and its extensive gardens, lovingly landscaped by Capability Brown. As an added bonus we include a visit to de Havilland Aircraft Museum, Britain’s oldest aviation museum and much more besides. There are displays and exhibits of aviation technology plus a fine collection of iconic de Havilland aircraft, including Mosquito, Sea Vixen and Comet. Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach this morning and sit back and relax as we head towards Hertfordshire. Before arriving at the hotel, we include a short visit to the de Havilland Aircraft Museum, the oldest aviation museum in the UK.

After our visit, we will then make the short journey to your fantastic 4-star hotel, with time to settle in and relax before your included evening meal.

Day 2

After a comfortable night's sleep and tasty breakfast it is time to head out on our included visit to Bletchley Park, world famous home of Alan Turing and the codebreakers who helped end World War Two with their unique Enigma machine. Enjoy time to learn about the fascinating story of Bletchley and its part in the birth of modern technology - a story that will amaze and fascinate you. After time to explore further at leisure, your coach will head back to your hotel before enjoying the included dinner tonight.

Day 3

After a final hearty breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and head towards the lovely Cotswolds and the picture-perfect town of Woodstock. This is the beautiful setting for one of England's most amazing stately homes, and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace. Enjoy time to explore both the richly decorated grand interiors and the rolling Capability Brown parkland that is a part of history and a delight for the senses.

You'll have time to explore at leisure before boarding your coach later for the relaxing onward journey home full of lovely memories from an amazing weekend.

Blenheim Palace

de Havilland Aircraft Museum

The de Havilland Aircraft Museum is the only Museum in the world to have 3 de Havilland Mosquitos on display, where the prototype was originally designed and built. The Heritage Centre prides itself on being Britain's first aviation collection. The Museum’s mission is to preserve and communicate the de Havilland Heritage to ensure that current and future generations of all ages will understand de Havilland’s contribution to innovative British Aviation technology. Get close up and into many of the de Havilland Aircraft and view the extensive collection of de Havilland aero engines and other memorabilia. Most of the collection is undercover with the completion of a new hangar where you can explore the world’s first jet airliner, the Comet, and many other aircraft.

The Comet Hotel Hatfield

A stylish new hotel housed in a Grade II-listed building, with a chic restaurant and thoughtful design touches

The Comet Hotel in Hatfield is a 4 star hotel which has seen a multi-million pound refit, and has been refurbished for the modern age, bringing a fabulous hotel destination. First opening its doors in 1936, the original Comet Hotel was named for the locally built de Havilland Comet DH.88 racing aeroplane. The eponymous hotel was actually designed around the footprint of the aircraft, which gives the building its unusual and iconic shape. The refurbishment and extension is based on the rich heritage and period glamour of the original Comet Hotel, hearkening back to this golden age of air travel, glamour and sleek design. Beautiful period architecture, classic design and future-facing technology combine to create a welcoming and exciting environment, a rebirth for Hatfield’s most iconic building.

It now boasts a total of 65 guest rooms which combine comfort and considered design to give you the best possible stay. It is home to the warm and welcoming Element Bar & Kitchen with excellent food and drinks, all locally sourced where possible. The hotel also has lift access.
