London & Hampton Court Festive Fayre

Itinerary

Day 1

Join your coach this morning and head for the royal town of Windsor, famous for its castle and deep royal heritage. You will have lots of time to explore on your own before rejoining the coach to head the short distance to your hotel where you can relax before the day ahead tomorrow. At the hotel you will also find a restaurant and bar serving a range of food, snacks and drinks.  There are also a couple of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 2

Enjoy a tasty breakfast this morning before we take you into central London for a full day exploring this famous city. The choice of things to see and do is endless, whether you want to shop, see the Christmas lights, visit an amazing museum or gallery or some of the city's fabulous Christmas markets from the South Bank to Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland (entrance charge applies). Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Covent Garden and Oxford Street are other notable and popular places to visit. You have the day to explore the thousands of exciting options. Late afternoon/early evening, board the coach and we will take you back to the hotel for another relaxing evening.

Day 3

After a final leisurely filling breakfast this morning, we leave the hotel and take you to visit the Hampton Court Palace Festive Fayre. The Festive Fayre is a festive food lover’s wonderland, full of artisan food and drink and seasonal cookery demonstrations. Eat, drink and be merry, all whilst soaking up the atmosphere and spirit of the season. Entrance is also included to iconic Hampton Court Palace, an awe-inspiring and flamboyant showcase of kingship. It’s vast, endless vistas, courtyards, gardens, and parkland, along with its magnificent State Apartments rival the great palaces of Europe. Later this afternoon, we make our journey back home.

Windsor

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationThe beautiful, ancient royal town of Windsor, is situated on the River Thames with a rich history, dominated by Windsor Castle, one of the most iconic residences of the British Royal Family. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th century, the castle was extensively remodelled by subsequent monarchs and remains one of the most impressive historic buildings in the country. The castle itself is surrounded by a warren of small streets offering a wonderful range of boutiques, shops, bars, cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy along with the impressive 5,000 acres of gardens that make up Windsor Great Park, and offers some lovely walking routes or maybe even a relaxing boat ride along the River Thames.

London at Christmas Time

Whether you are looking for the best Christmas shopping (combine it with the amazing light display over Oxford Street and Regent Street), the best Christmas trees (don't miss one of the biggest and best in lovely Covent Garden with a host of stalls, shops, eateries and bars full of festive spirit), ice skating at one on the many rinks including beautiful Somerset House, the bustling South Bank buzzing with stalls and foodie treats overlooking the stunning Houses of Parliament, or the amazing annual spectacle that is London's Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park you won't be disappointed! Why not try somewhere new like the trendy Seven Dials near Covent Garden or Camden Market with its amazing array of shops and food from around the world, or Borough Market for serious foodies! Getting around is easy too with an extensive bus network, the underground, taxis and of course those famous Boris Bikes...unless you’d just like to walk and take in the atmosphere including the beautiful and tranquil Royal Parks which provide a welcome oasis and rest from the hustle and bustle of the city. For a great way to see the city why not take an open top bus tour, or enjoy a waters eye view from one of the many cruisers or riverboat services that give the city a new angle - you can even hop on and hop off to discover different sides of the river!

Hampton Court Festive Fayre
