Aberfoyle is a popular holiday village with an attractive main street and common served with shops, cafés, and restaurants. The village is an ideal base to explore  Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and is, without doubt, the most important gateway to the Trossachs. It has something for everyone, including those people who love old mysteries. Learn more about the area’s natural beauty and history of the Trossachs. Nearby you will find Loch Ard, which boasts exciting activities including water sports and many walking trails. The Loch Ard Sculpture trail is fantastic.

In Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, you’ll find wild scenery, thrilling history and superb local food and drink - all of which is easy to get to. At the heart of the park is Loch Lomond itself. You won’t find a bigger loch or lake in the whole of Britain and you’ll have a hard time finding a more beautiful one too - in the shadow of the mighty bulk of Ben Lomond, Scotland’s most southerly Munro, as well as the jagged shoulders of the Arrochar Alps.

Home of the National Wallace Monument 19th century tower and overlooking the site of 1297 Battle of stirling Bridge, where William Wallace defeated the English. Why not take the opportunity to visit Stirling Castle (entrance fee applies) or simply enjoy the array of bars, cafes and shops that Stirling has to offer.

The beautiful, historic capital of Scotland is an exciting place to visit at any time of year. Edinburgh offers superb sightseeing opportunities, historic buildings, galleries and museums as well as shops, restaurants and bars galore!

Loch Lomond

You won't find a bigger loch or lake in the whole of Britain and you'll have a hard time finding a more beautiful one, too. Why not take a cruise on the waters and admire the mighty bulk of Ben Lomond, Scotland's most southerly Munro, as well as the jagged shoulders of the Arrochar Alps. You could maybe even visit one of the loch's 30 islands. You might get a surprise when you pass Inchconnachan - those aren't giant squirrels you can see, but wallabies! The island has had a colony of the Antipodean creatures happily hopping there since the 1940s.
