Llandudno is one of the most popular and pretty coastal towns in North Wales. It’s known for North Shore Beach and 19th-century Llandudno Pier, with its shops and games arcade. Northwest of town, the cliffs of Great Orme headland jut into the sea. Llandudno is without doubt the ‘Queen of Welsh Resorts’. The long, crescent-shaped promenade and sweeping sands make it a perfect holiday destination all year round.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
The Risboro Hotel sits between the two beaches that lie at the foot of the Orme, just a stone’s throw from the tram station for the summit of the Orme. The hotel also has a lounge bar, sun terrace and entertainment lounge with dance floor. What more could you possibly want?!
After joining the coach at one of our convenient local joining points, we head north towards Llandudno. There will be convenient coffee/lunch stops en route and we expect to arrive at the Risboro Hotel late afternoon and in good time for dinner and our first night of festive entertainment.
Enjoy hearty breakfasts and free time in Llandudno to explore on your own plus your included excursions to Chester, Conwy & Betws-y-Coed in the heart of Snowdonia. Return to your hotel in the evenings to enjoy dinner and our fabulous Turkey & Tinsel package which includes lots of live festive entertainment, "Christmas Day" with sherry reception followed by Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings along with a visit from Santa and "New Year's Eve" with a glass of bucks fizz to see in the New Year!
After a final tasy breakfast we make our way home. After stopping for a coffee/lunch break, we continue homewards.
Chester including Christmas Market
This may be the best-preserved walled city in England, with its galleried streets, Roman Wall, Tudor houses, and unique medieval shopping experience at the famous ‘Rows’, where the shops are quite literally ‘on top of each other’. This is a fascinating city where you can truly combine a love of history with some truly inspiring shopping opportunities. In the run up to Christmas, Chester is alight with the glow of lights and candles from its annual Christmas Market and is a truly beautiful place to spend a few hours.
It’s rare that there is so much to do in such a small town. There is stunning scenery, the smallest house in Britain, the Bodnant gardens and Conwy Mountain just to name a few things to see in this pretty market town. Climb to the top of one of Conwy Castle's eight towers to get a stunning view of Conwy, explore the inner and outer wards with their many rooms and explore the castle walls with their 21 towers that completely enclose Conwy town.
Betws-y-Coed & Snowdonia National Park
Experience the lure of Snowdonia with a visit to the bustling mountain village of Betws-y-Coed. This all-season resort, nestled at the heart of the Conwy Valley where 4 rivers converge, is a hive of activity. Surrounded by some of Wales’ most spectacular countryside, Betws-y-Coed attracts visitors from all over the world, year in, year out. Betws-y-Coed’s beautiful woodland setting at the foot of the mountains has appealed to travellers for centuries. There is also great shopping to enjoy in the village too, with unique craft shops and cafés.
The Snowdonia National Park itself boasts vast areas of natural beauty and unique scenery. It is known as Eryri by Welsh a name that can be translated as “the place of the eagles”. The park which covers 838 square miles is one of the three natural parks found in Wales and the oldest one being designated as one in 1951.
