Holidaymakers have been coming to the iconic seaside gem of Llandudno for generations, and it’s still one of the best all-round destinations for people of all ages. The largest resort in Wales is known for its natural landmarks, beautiful pier and Victorian heritage. Llandudno Pier, the longest pier in Wales, is one of the most popular attractions in town, with an array of shops, cafes, bars and attractions dotting the 700-metre boardwalk. You can take in superb sunset views over the sea from here, after a scenic stroll along the connecting promenade. This walkway is lined with pastel-hued Victorian mansions and runs along North Shore Beach, where you’ll find stretches of sand as well as pebble.

We stay at the popular White Heather Hotel, situated in the heart of this iconic seaside resort, close to North Shore Beach, the town centre and the Pier. Have plenty of time to stroll along the promenade and explore the treasures of this pretty town. In the evening, enjoy dinner and a drink in the bar and the hotel will lay on entertainment for you to enjoy on some nights, if that's your kind of thing or step out and enjoy Llandudno's night life! You can of course spend all of your time in and around Llandudno or if you wish to explore further, you can join our fabulous excursions. To get the most out of our holiday, we include some of the regions top highlights.

We head via a scenic drive into the Vale of Clwyd and the spectacular Horseshoe Pass to explore the picturesque town of Llangollen with the River Dee running through its heart. Take a stroll along the Victoria Promenade or watch the river tumble down beneath the bridge. Also bring your cameras, as we head into spectacular Snowdonia National Park, where we will take a jaw dropping railway journey to the summit of Snowdon on its very own Mountain Railway, as well as discovering the National Slate Museum to travel into the past of an industry and a way of life that has chiselled itself into the very being of this country.

Day 1

Join your coach this morning and head for scenic North Wales and the Queen of Welsh Resorts, Llandudno, set on a sweeping bay with the towering Great Orme overlooking the dramatic scenery. On arrival take time to settle in to your hotel and perhaps take a stroll along the wide promenade for a breath of sea air, or a browse around the shops of the town centre which are both right on your central hotel's doorstep. Take time for a drink in the bar before your first evening meal, with time to meet your fellow travellers.

Days 2 to 4

Enjoy a delicious Welsh breakfast each morning and be prepared for your beautiful adventure each day. There will be plenty of time to relax at your comfortable hotel, and enjoy all of the delights that the pretty seaside town of Llandudno has to offer. Retaining much of its Victorian charm, there are lovely beaches, plenty of shops and restaurants to explore and a long pier to stroll down.

But make sure you are ready for your fantastic excursions. We head south travelling through the Vale of Clwyd and over the spectacular Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen. Spend some time in this pretty town with vibrant shops, cafes and a Victorian promenade that lines the banks of the River Dee. Also experience a trip into the heart of scenic Snowdonia for a stunning scenic tour including a visit to the lovely lakeside village of Llanberis set at the foot of Mount Snowdon, where we include a fantastic trip on the world-famous Snowdon Mountain Railway. Join the 4.7 mile rail journey at Llanberis to Snowdon's summit, the highest peak in Wales with incredible views! Also experience the National Slate Museum for a journey into the past, offering a deeper understanding of the people and industries that shaped the region. It's an immersive experience that blends history, culture, and the stunning natural backdrop of Snowdonia National Park.

No matter what you get up to during the day, you can always look forward to a warm welcome from your hotel when you return and an opportunity to have a drink and share stories before a tasty evening meal, which is followed by included entertainment on 2 nights.

After a final delicious Welsh breakfast, join your coach this morning and relax as you travel homewards with lots of beautiful memories and newly made friends.

The hotel lift is currently out of service until further notice due to circumstances beyond their control. Snowdon Mountain Railway & Llanberis

The lovely village of Llanberis is set in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, in a lakeside setting at the foot of Mount Snowdon itself, at 3,560ft the highest mountain in England and Wales. You can discover Llanberis Lake Railway and the National Slate Museum or follow the self-guided Llanberis Heritage Trail taking you to fascinating places around the village.

Your experience on the Snowdon Mountain Railway is a journey to “the rooftop of Wales” on the only public track and pinion mountain railway in Britain. From the first views of the waterfall plunging into the gorge below at the start of the journey, to the breath-taking sights over the sheer edge of Rocky Valley, every moment is memorable. At the summit the Visitor Centre has a gift shop and café to relax in, and on a clear day you can take in views as far away as Ireland.

The National Slate Museum

White Heather Hotel Llandudno

Boasting a bar, terrace and views of sea, the White Heather Hotel enjoys a great location in Llandudno, 100 yards from Llandudno North Shore Beach, very close to the town centre and 750 yards from the Pier. The hotel has a comfortable restaurant, 24-hour front desk and room service, along with free WiFi. The hotel's 40 bedrooms are warmly decorated in keeping with the listed building. All the rooms have ensuite facilities, tea & coffee making facilities, TV, and hairdryer.

The hotel lift is currently out of service until further notice due to circumstances beyond their control. Therefore steps to access all parts of the building are unavoidable so please note for any mobility issues. There are 7 steps to get into the hotel and 5 floors in the hotel, plus a flight of steps from reception/bar level down to the restaurant. It is hoped that the lift will be back in working order in the latter part of 2024, however this cannot be guaranteed at this stage. Please contact us to discuss any concerns in this respect.
