Itinerary

Day 1

Join your coach this morning, and head towards your resort of Torquay. On arrival at the Derwent Hotel there is time to settle in. Enjoy a drink in the bar to meet friends and fellow travellers, and make sure you have worked up an appetite for evening meal, followed by fantastic entertainment that your central hotel is so famous for.

Days 2 - 4

Enjoy hearty traditional English breakfast each day. You can spend all of your time in and around Torquay to make the most of your fantastic seaside location and the amazing leisure facilities at the TLH Resort. Alternatively join us on our great INCLUDED excursions.

Back in Torquay, take time to explore, whether it's a stroll along the promenade or harbour, enjoy some traditional fish & chips if you have room, or track down the mysterious connections with the enigmatic Agatha Christie! Return to your hotel in time for your evening meal and great entertainment.

Day 5

After a final tasty breakfast it is time to say farewell to Torquay and The English Riviera today and head homewards full of great memories from your holiday.

Torquay

Paignton

Don’t miss Devon’s 18th century Paignton Harbour, a real maritime gem with a bevy of boats, a historic harbour wall plus delightful restaurants and cafes where you can sample the famous local fish or try some tapas. This is England’s Seafood Coast with delicious fresh fish coming in daily from nearby Brixham. Tucked away behind Paignton Harbour is Fairy Cove a hidden Devon beach to discover. You’ll also love the gardens at nearby Roundham Head with its jaw-dropping views and access to Goodrington Sands, another spectacular beach.

Brixham

And don’t forget to visit the famous replica of Sir Francis Drake’s iconic ship, The Golden Hind, which has docked in Brixham for over 50 years.

Totnes (half day)

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationTotnes is a charming Devon town with a bustling main street and a regular market situated in the beautiful Dart Valley.  The town dates from 907AD and is surrounded by woodlands, grassy fields and riverside walks. It is built on a hill rising up from the lovely River Dart. The old warehouses on the wharf have been restored preserving the character making it an ideal spot to wander and explore the local traders and cafes. Totnes has an excellent range of small independent retailers and unique shops, with a focus on fair trade goods, handmade crafts and ethical products alongside quality clothes, seasonal food, beautiful gifts and so much more. Every week the town bustles with lively, local traders selling crafts, gifts and food on Fridays and Saturdays, an Elizabethan market held each Tuesday morning (May-September), when traders dress in Elizabethan period costumes and the Food Market every third Sunday of the month.

Dartmouth

You have to go a long way to find a town as pretty as Dartmouth. Overlooking one of the finest natural harbours in the UK, Dartmouth has a strong maritime heritage with the iconic Royal Naval College set on a hill overlooking the town. You will find a host of narrow lanes, stairways and corridors, and historical streets to explore. The town has fine restaurants, as well as arts, antiques and craft shops just about everywhere. The Greenway Ferry takes visitors across the river to the world famous home of Agatha Christie, who so loved this area.
