Itinerary

Day 1

Join your comfortable coach at your convenient local pick up point this morning, and head to the south coast, with coffee/lunch stops along the way. We take the short ferry crossing to the lovely Isle of Wight. On arrival at your hotel in the popular town of Shanklin there will be time to settle in and relax or perhaps take a stroll for a breath of sea air along the pretty prom. Make sure you have time for a drink in the bar before enjoying your first evening meal.

Days 2 - 4

Enjoy a traditional English breakfast each day to set you up properly for your day ahead. You'll have plenty of time to explore Shanklin and maybe go even further? Having said that, if you don't want the hassle of organising everything yourself then make sure you join us on our fabulous INCLUDED excursions.

Relax at the end of each day with your included evening meals plus entertainment provided by your hotel on one evening. Or you may prefer a wander out along the lovely prom to watch the twinkling lights on the sea and take in the traditional entertainment.

Day 5

After a final hearty breakfast it is time to say farewell to the Isle of Wight today. Board your comfortable coach for the short crossing across the Solent, and a relaxing onward journey home full of lovely memories.

Newport

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationNewport on the Isle of Wight has two elegant squares and many fine Georgian and Victorian town houses. The impressive colonnaded Guildhall was designed by John Nash and built in 1816, with the clock tower added in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. It now houses the Museum of Island History and the Tourist Information Centre. Shopping in Newport is a pleasure, and there is no better time to find a seasonal bargain. Newport Harbour is just a short walk from the town centre and museums, crafts studios and the Quay Arts Centre are housed in former warehouses.

Yarmouth, Alum Bay & The Needles

INCLUDED Visitor DestinationYarmouth town is located on the North-West of the island and acts as one of the gateways with one of the main ferry services operating from its harbour. This historic port town sits at the mouth of the River Yar and contains some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight, including a 16th Century castle.

Alum Bay is well known for its multi-coloured sand cliffs and stunning views across the Solent. Many homes around the world have a glass object filled with sand as a memento of a visit to Alum Bay and The Needles. The impressive chalk stacks of The Needles lie just beyond Alum Bay, and on the outermost stack stands the Needles Lighthouse, a popular photograph opportunity for visitors, either in the calm weather where the beautiful blue sea contrasts with the white rocks or in stormier weather when the waves crash.
