Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Lake District on this fantastic all-inclusive break, combining spectacular scenery, charming market towns and excellent value throughout your stay.
You'll spend four nights at the Cumbria Grand Hotel in Grange-over-Sands on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, with a packed lunch on an excursion days. Set in attractive grounds overlooking Morecambe Bay, the hotel provides a wonderful base from which to explore one of Britain's most beloved holiday regions. To add to the enjoyment, entertainment is included on at least one evening during your stay. We are also including 3 drinks vouchers every day, just to really help the holiday go with a swing!
This holiday features three included excursions showcasing some of the Lake District's most famous destinations. Our first excursion takes us to the popular lakeside resort of Bowness-on-Windermere, where visitors can enjoy the stunning setting of England's largest lake. We then continue to the picturesque town of Ambleside, nestled amongst some of the region's most spectacular scenery.
Another day sees us visit the historic market town of Kendal, known as the Gateway to the Lakes, before continuing to the traditional Cumbrian town of Ulverston with its attractive streets and rich heritage.
Our final excursion explores the northern Lake District, with a visit to the bustling market town of Keswick, offering stunning scenery, independent shops, welcoming cafés and a relaxed atmosphere. We also take in the beautiful village of Grasmere. Surrounded by magnificent fells and famous for its connections to poet William Wordsworth, Grasmere is one of the most picturesque locations in the National Park.

Itinerary
Day 1
Join your comfortable coach at your convenient local pick up point this morning, and head north to the beautiful Lake District with convenient comfort stops en route. Arrive at your hotel early evening and settle in for a good meal and a drink with your fellow travellers.
Days 2 to 4
Enjoy tasty breakfasts every day before joining us on our daily excursions, which are all included in your holiday price. Return to your hotel every evening ready for a good meal and with stories to tell...Day 5
After a final hearty breakfast it is time to say farewell to the Lake District today. Board your comfortable coach for a relaxing journey home full of fun filled memories and with your newly made friends.

Enjoy a wonderful day exploring two of the Lake District's most popular destinations as we visit Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside.
Our first stop is the vibrant lakeside town of Bowness-on-Windermere, beautifully situated on the shores of England's largest lake. With its stunning views across Lake Windermere, bustling waterfront and wide selection of shops, cafés and attractions, Bowness is the perfect place to relax and soak up the scenery. Take a leisurely stroll along the lakeshore, enjoy a coffee overlooking the water or simply watch the boats come and go as you admire the breathtaking surroundings.
Later, we continue to the charming town of Ambleside, nestled at the northern end of Lake Windermere and surrounded by spectacular Lakeland scenery. Popular with visitors for centuries, Ambleside offers a delightful mix of traditional stone buildings, independent shops, welcoming cafés and picturesque streets to explore. The town's beautiful setting makes it an ideal place to enjoy a leisurely wander and experience the unique atmosphere of the Lake District.
Throughout the day you'll be surrounded by some of England's most stunning landscapes, with rolling hills, sparkling waters and magnificent mountain views around every corner.

Kendal & Ulverston
INCLUDED Visitor DestinationBustling Kendal is a major gateway town to the Lake District, and is one of its most famous and loved market towns. Its nickname of ‘Auld Grey Town’ ia due to the distinctive limestone used in so many of its buildings. Grey may be the dominant colour here, but there’s nothing sombre about it. The streets are alive with vibrant events, quality shopping, excellent restaurants and a thriving arts and culture scene and it is full of historic character. It hosts a web of interweaving alleyways and cobbled yards, whilst the ruins of medieval Kendal castle stand on Castle Hill, with great views over the town. Just wander and you'll discover for yourself why Kendal is so popular! Historically, this was a major wool producing centre – the famous ‘Kendal Green’ one of several Kendal cottons produced in the workshops that once occupied its many yards. But for most visitors, Kendal is synonymous with its famous mint cake, a staple of many a mountaineer’s backpack and important sustenance for Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on their Everest ascent in 1953.Also enjoy a brief stop in lovely Ulverston, the birthplace of Stan Laurel. This market town is bustling with things to see and do including the fascinating Laurel & Hardy Museum, John Barrow House and Monument, and plenty of independent shops and cafes to explore too. Keswick & Grasmere
Discover the beauty of the northern Lake District on this delightful excursion to the popular market town of Keswick and the picturesque village of Grasmere.
Our day begins in Keswick, one of the Lake District's most loved destinations. Situated between the shores of Derwentwater and the surrounding fells, this bustling market town offers spectacular scenery alongside a wonderful selection of independent shops, cafés and traditional Lakeland attractions. Enjoy a stroll through the town centre, relax with refreshments in one of the many welcoming cafés or simply take in the magnificent views that have made Keswick a favourite with visitors for generations.
We then continue through some of the Lake District's most breathtaking landscapes to the charming village of Grasmere. Often described as one of the prettiest villages in England, Grasmere is renowned for its idyllic setting, traditional stone cottages and literary connections with the poet William Wordsworth, who once called the village home.
Surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful countryside, Grasmere offers a peaceful atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to explore at your own pace. Browse the village's quaint shops, enjoy a relaxing walk or perhaps sample the famous Grasmere Gingerbread, a local favourite enjoyed by visitors from across the world.
